Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I hope the obstruction dissolves/resolves on its own.

Debet, I hope you got the call and it was good news.

It is hot here, and very sunny and I have a ton of work to do today, which is why I'm procrastinating.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am actually at work today, trying to compose an email to all the managers about belt-tightening the company is doing for the summer. It is hard to be informative without sending folks into a panic mode. Feh.

Eek, Robin, that sounds very difficult to construct!!

Kristin and I went out last night, but came home relatively early. I was so sleepy! And I slept and slept and slept, and finally looked at the clock and went "aw, i better get up, i feel bad sleeping the day away when we could play!"...and then I saw Kristin was asleep too (but she got up and took ND to the airport v. early this morning). So now I"m reading teh intarwebs.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The rain has stopped.

And my boy won his race and I don't have a fucking clue how that happened cause he crashed a few times and had to replace the nose of his car twice and I don't care now because he won and ... HE WON!

Our wings are not tired

I hope Glen starts getting some relief today.

ION I am now in Phoenix. This has been an eventful flight so far. I was supposed to be flying US Airways. I got my bag checked, went through security, got to my gate, sat down, and then they announced that anyone who has a connecting flight to certain cities, you need to go back to the ticket agent, as the plane out of Burbank is delayed and won't be making the connecting flights.

So, back out past security, back into line. Finally up to the agent. They start hunting and hunting. Pretty much everything into Orlando on all airlines out of Burbank AND LAX is booked. She finds me a seat on the 10 AM flight to Phoenix on Southwest with a connection to Orlando (Including a stop in New Orleans). It is now 9:44. I head back towards security. There is a massive line. I make it up to the person checking ID. Since I have a ticket newly purchased today (For the rebooking on Southwest) I'm sent to the security check. They pull me aside to do the full search. They keep paging for a male TSA worker to screen me. This takes about 5 minutes. I'm finally through, and I sprint to the gate. They are literally about to close the door as I dash up to the agent. They issue me a boarding pass, and I get to be that asshole last second person on a Southwest flight shoving myself into the first center seat I can find.

So, now I'm one again in boarding group C, and waiting for my next flight. Do I get hazard pay for this?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Pain easement to Glen. I hope he can get some relief and rest today.

Robin, I do not envy you your task today.

ND, I think you should get hazard pay. That's just icky. And, I wee (but fierce) birdie told me that you have taught middle school drama. If you have any tips/advice, I would welcome it!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh ugh, Drew. I can't believe they made you go back out past security again.

Our wings are not tired.

They keep paging for a male TSA worker to screen me.

Now, if you were wearing a kilt this would all be less complicated. May the rest of your journey be boring and uneventful.

Vibing for some relief for Glen and family.

Our wings are not tired

And now they just announced that my flight out of here is delayed. They have no idea when it will arrive. Apparently they hada security breach at LAX where this flight is originating and everything from there is now delayed.

ChiKat, yes I did work with middle schoolers on productions for 5 years and taught playwriting to 8th grade for a year.

Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

Always Anti-fascist!

(looks east and waves at Drew) Hey. The truck may not be as internally messed up as originally feared. My mom's friend's husband, while an illiterate, lazy, behemothknows tons about car guts and can account for the new noises as other than transmission problems. But we won't know till Wednesday. Or later. Hec, sorry about Emmett and his dog friend. Too bad dogs are so bad at sending postcards.
