Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

That's just...dang.

A reasonable assessement, but my own included more expletives.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

A real garden? Was it a Velveteen Garden before? I am certain it is beautiful because it was quite pretty in the meadow stage.

Me & Paul recovered by meeting on Xbox Live and fragging each other. Practically a time-honored tradition. Also, ND got explodinated everywhere. Also a tradition.
I approve this tradition.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Apparently not.

Sorry! Stayed up and did the time-honored drunk-roaming-around-the-internets thing.

*frowny face*

But that's not immediately amusing to us.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It is that time of year when scads of Buffistae were born. JZ and Deb (and Nic) and Me are all next week.

Four of my grandparents eight children were born in June. We've theorized that when the older kids went back to school my Grampa would sneak home for nooners.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Good morning, all. I finally heard back from Mom. Glen is in huge amounts of pain, but is in no immediate danger, although infection is still a worry. Apparently, his intenstines have shut down. I don't know how on earth this translates into "no immediate danger," but she's the person with the nursing degree and the ability to make grown doctors cry. Anyhow, the pain has been bad enough that he cannot sleep. At all.

Mostly lurking...

Emily, YAY!

Anne, poor Glen. Although, I'm glad there is no immediate danger.

So sleepy. I got a phone call at 6:40 a.m. What's that all about??? The guy was like, "Oh, did I wake you?" "Um...[pause]...yes."

What is even happening?

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Poor Glen.

I tried to work in the yard yesterday, but was driven inside by 95-degree, code-red smog index, high-uv index weather. I hate summer.

Because books.

Anne, no morphine or other painkillers? Or are they not working? The poor man.

It's Sunday and I don't have to work again until Tuesday. I am muy relaxed. Like, considering not getting out of bed all day relaxed.
