Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Do they know how long Glen will be in ICU? I hope he has a fast recovery.
I talked to my mom again. Apparently, he thinks he'll be up and at 'em in a couple of days. Mom used to be an RN, so I'm believing her opinion that it will be weeks. As for how long in the ICU proper vs. being sent home to convalesce? No idea yet.
He is not being a very good patient. His biggest risk now is not from the infection, it's from the increasingly likely chance that my mom will go upside his head with a cast iron skillet.
Much ~ma to Bob, Brendon, and Laura.
Happy Birthday, Epic!
{{{Laura and Brendon and Bob}}}

Stopping by. So. tired. This is, I think, the 3rd time this week I have napped when I got home. It's fuckin' up my sleep schedule.
Mini-meara:
Oh, Fred. I'm so sorry. YOu have done so much, but it's never easy.
Epic, my dear, happy birthday!
Jilli, love the hair! It's a shock, no? I hate getting my hair cut (sorry Hec.) And a foot of hair?! DAY-um! Brave girl. It's cute! And I Had fun looking at the other pics.
Kristin, love the website! You're right on about supporrt staff -- I alwways kinda sigh and shak e my head sadly when I see people who diss out secretary or janitor. They never get their contracts renewed...Also,, love the pen/peacock feather image! So pretty!
Summer school is...interesting. No, wait -- summer school is a complete unorganized clusterfuck. It is terrible. "Run" by someone who can't organize for shit, and has no clue about teaching at all and doesn't even like running the program. It's a mess.
Also, 8th graders? WEIRD. They are SO different that high schoolers.
Kristin, love the website!
I was gonna say. I don't teach and don't ever plan to, but those lessons are applicable to life in general. In fact, the "always have a buddy" part made me tear up a bit because I like to think that's the way my girlfriends and I treat each other. And I think lots of times in life things don't go as planned, but still turn out pretty nifty (and if not, we can at least learn not to do that again).
