Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

ChiKat, what a wonderful problem to have!

First, can you eliminate any of the 1-3 jobs?

Also, DCistas -- what's a good place to meet a friend who is in town for a drink near the convention center?

ChiKat, that's awesome!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

First, can you eliminate any of the 1-3 jobs?

Yes and no. In my mind, I already have them ranked to which school I'd prefer. The problem is all 3 are in the same district and they talk to each other. So, School 1 knows that School 2 and 3 have offered me jobs. Schools 2 and 3 also know about School 1, but I don't think they know about each other. Yet. All the vice princiapls are in meetings for another hour, so I suspect they'll all know about each other by then. Makes it tricky.

I told the school this morning (#4) that I was v. interested in their position, but I had other job offers waiting, so I couldn't wait long for their decision. As a result, they're trying to get me in with the principal tomorrow or Monday (they orig. wanted me in late next week).

The biggest dilemma I have right now is that #4 is really the one I'd want, but I don't want to lose the others by waiting too long and then end up not getting #4.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

That's... kinda disturbing. :)

It does sound a bit like I'm hatching a Pinky and the Brain type plan.

there's a sports bar right on 9th St, called Old Dominion Brewhouse. Decent happy hour specials, as I recall.

Thanks, Vortex!

ChiKat, this is (wonderful and) complicated! If #4 is calling you back to let you know when you'll be able to meet with the Principal, I'd double check with them about whether or not they can make you an offer by (was it Tuesday?). If that school says, yes, they can definitely let you know by then, I'd then call your 1-3 in rank order and let them know you're waiting for financial information (you don't have to tell them it's another job) that will help you make the best decision, and can you please let them know definitely, for sure, absolutely, on Wednesday.

vw bug- Thanks.

Nora-My niece just turned 13 and her loot included lots of gift cards for clothes and iTunes, but her favorite was her first piece of "grown up" jewelry. It was a simple gold chain with a gold heart pendant with a pearl at the bottom of the heart.

ChiKat-What wonderful news to have 3 offers, and the possibility of a fourth! Sparky speaks smartness with what to do in that position.

I am totally psyched for ChiKat's job opportunities.

However, I still need a picture of her most recent haircut.

I just do.

Just got off the phone with them. Interview with principal is tomorrow morning at 9. But, he's not in the office today and they can't tell me when they can make a decision. Blarg.

I've been making pro and con lists for all 4 of the schools. After seeing the lists, I may be switching around my ranking.
