Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Epic, you can totally do it!!

I do feel wildly out of place here most of the time, though.
Me, too, but I'm glad of it. I don't want to be like my cousin and her friends, who are all identical and Mob!Wife Barbie-looking. One way to feel LA-glam when you really aren't is to work in a tech co. I'm the most fabulous employee of them all! Today I am wearing what I'd describe as an ugly-cute, shrunken 1970's mumu (moomoo?) with jeans. SO not glam.

Go ChiCat!

Cool Jilli hair!

13-year-old girl gift: I've seen cool stuff in the Pottery Barn teen catalog (iPod speaker bags, pillows) and in the Delia's catalog. I'll find and link so you can see.

I'm getting an iPod ready CD player installed in my car this weekend! Late b-day present to myself.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Lastly, juliana I need the size of your head and a picture of your tattoo.

That's... kinda disturbing. :) Emily has a picture of my tattoo (nudges Em). And my noggin is 23" 'round, so somewhere between 7 1/4 and 7 3/8.

Also, squee!!!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy real birthday, Epic!!! I hope you get a chance to not have to do homework today.

I like the Jilli Hair!

Today has been interesting. I'm in a good bad position and need some Buffista Advice.

So, at 8:30 this morning, I got job offer #3. At 9, I had another interview and the position would rock. They want me back to interview with the principal tomorrow or Monday. Job offers 1-3 want a response today (well, they really wanted responses yesterday, but I told them I needed to think about it for a day). How can I tell them that I am still very much interested, but need more time to decide? I'd need until at least Tuesday at this point.

ChiKat, what a wonderful problem to have!

First, can you eliminate any of the 1-3 jobs?

Also, DCistas -- what's a good place to meet a friend who is in town for a drink near the convention center?

Yes and no. In my mind, I already have them ranked to which school I'd prefer. The problem is all 3 are in the same district and they talk to each other. So, School 1 knows that School 2 and 3 have offered me jobs. Schools 2 and 3 also know about School 1, but I don't think they know about each other. Yet. All the vice princiapls are in meetings for another hour, so I suspect they'll all know about each other by then. Makes it tricky.

I told the school this morning (#4) that I was v. interested in their position, but I had other job offers waiting, so I couldn't wait long for their decision. As a result, they're trying to get me in with the principal tomorrow or Monday (they orig. wanted me in late next week).

The biggest dilemma I have right now is that #4 is really the one I'd want, but I don't want to lose the others by waiting too long and then end up not getting #4.

That's... kinda disturbing. :)

It does sound a bit like I'm hatching a Pinky and the Brain type plan.

there's a sports bar right on 9th St, called Old Dominion Brewhouse. Decent happy hour specials, as I recall.
