Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

seersucker or linen. But, I'm southern

Nora - Clothes usually becomes a focus around 13. Hard to choose for her, but that was when K-Bug started asking for clothes over everything else.

maybe a gift cert to H&M?

Hey, remember the rude guy at the real estate office? He got FIRED. Karma, beyotch!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hee!

Was he fired for being rude and nasty? Or something unrelated to that flaw?

We didn't discuss it. I ran into my real estate guy last night, and he mentioned it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

oh yay! of course you realize the rude guy will probably end up in customer service somewhere ....

I heard something on the news this morning that a company that builds houses will let you trade in your old house. You don't get the best price, but you also don't have the hassle of actually selling it.

Nora, having had a 13 year old girl not that long ago, jewelry and gift cards for books or clothes were always high on her list (and still are).

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronklies.

Jilli! Love the hair.

meara, I don't know what to tell you, except ask her point-blank to go to coffee with you.

No idea on gifties for a 13-year-old.

Jos. A. Bank has some nice summer suits.

{{{{Fred, Hubs, Teddy, and kitties}}}} I'm so sorry.

Today will be my first day working out at the YMCA. I'm very excited.

if you are nervous about asking her on a date, then ask her to join us for coffee, and I can either not show up, or leave early :) We'll work out a code phrase for "scram, I got this"

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jilli, I love that slightly suspicious look. The hair is pretty nice too, but mostly I'm all about the look.

Ha! Thank you, ita.

Jilli, it looks great! How long was it before?

Ummm, almost waist-length, but kinda scraggly at the ends. My hairdresser friend was gleeful about getting to cut it.

Jilli - no pink?

Not yet, Suzi. The aforementioned hairdresser friend is going to custom-make me some clip in pink hair pieces (it's her new fun hobby, apparently), and then we'll decide if my hair can handle being stripped and bleached to obtain pink.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Nice new Jilli hair! Am with Vortex on summer menswear. I know nothing of quilting, but am inching forward on a dress I'm crocheting and thinking of conquering the world of bead embroidery next.

meara that girl would frustrate the hell out of me. I would wonder if she's that frustrating to actually date.

~ma to them what needs it.

Lastly, juliana I need the size of your head and a picture of your tattoo.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

meara:

Epic, you can totally do it!!

I do feel wildly out of place here most of the time, though.
Me, too, but I'm glad of it. I don't want to be like my cousin and her friends, who are all identical and Mob!Wife Barbie-looking. One way to feel LA-glam when you really aren't is to work in a tech co. I'm the most fabulous employee of them all! Today I am wearing what I'd describe as an ugly-cute, shrunken 1970's mumu (moomoo?) with jeans. SO not glam.

Go ChiCat!

~ma for Anne's stepdad.

Cool Jilli hair!

13-year-old girl gift: I've seen cool stuff in the Pottery Barn teen catalog (iPod speaker bags, pillows) and in the Delia's catalog. I'll find and link so you can see.

I'm getting an iPod ready CD player installed in my car this weekend! Late b-day present to myself.
