Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

He *is* very charming and attractive. So I really do try to talk to him. One of these days? I will succeed even. I hope.

Honest, there are times? I am actually good at this. I really believe it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Now I'm craving chocolate.

My apartment is close to 80 degrees. I can't get to sleep.

Hi Anne!

Haven't gotten to sleep at all tonight. My apartment is too humid to sleep. I've managed to get a tiny bit of a breeze by turning on a fan and opening all the windows, but not much. (I turned off the air conditioning. It's useless.)

Unless this gets fixed, I think this will spoil my plans to bake cupcakes today. No way I'm turning on an oven in here.

Oh. that sucks, Hil. Are you supposed to get any kind of break in the weather soon? We're supposed to hit mid-nineties this week, and I'm dreading it.

And no, I can see where baking cupcakes sounds as if it would be remarkably unpleasant.

Looks like it's supposed to stay in the eighties for the rest of this week, which isn't too bad, but the humidity is horrible.

Bah. I wish I could suggest some remedy for that. We've been lucky to dodge that particular bullet this summer (so far) but I think our luck runs out soon.

Although I don't miss the weather, lately I've been missing being out on the East Coast and within easy visit range of other buffistas.

Hey, Hil and Anne!

I must get in the shower, but I don't feel like it. Ah, well. Must get going and help people. It's my new something. Have a good day, Bitches!

Oy, I overslept this morning and have missed my workout. I'll have to make it up tonight after work. I can't remember the last time I overslept -- I'm one of those people who never uses an alarm clock because my eyes automatically open at the same time (nearly) every day. This morning I woke up about 15 minutes before I'd usually roll out of bed, so I snuggled up to the DH and the next thing I knew, it was 30 minutes past the time I'd normally get up. Off to shower, and see if I can get back on track!
