Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Which was an excellent call because I walked out with two new meds (allergy and then an allergy/asthma combo) and whoa, breathing is really, really awesome.

Excellent! Always a fan of the good meds. Got to take my first hit of Albuterol at a party last week when I started an allergy-driven asthma attack. I, too, am a big fan of the Breathing.

Ok. This one I have to have.

So. Cute.

This motorcycling thing = 'spensive. OTOH, staying in one piece = priceless.

Yes, please to remain in one (brilliant, awesome) piece. (Not to be a wet blanket on your good time - it's just I passed a motorcycle fatality on my way home a few weeks ago. He was apparently just driving too fast and lost control. I've been a little "Please be careful" to all motorcycle-driving friends and acquaintances since then. So, please be careful, while having your fun, HAWT time). KTHX.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So, please be careful, while having your fun

Most definitely. Ze bike, she is to be respected. And I have a lot more practice to do. Thankfully, I also have a lot of people who are experienced and willing to coach me. Also, the school invites people to come use the side range and practice, which is nice.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. Someone remind me to quit trying to read every newspaper for news on Israel and Gaza. I know which papers will make me want to throw things. It is not good for my blood pressure to read them. Yet, I keep reading.

(Incidentally, anyone know why the British press seems to use "Palestinian" to mean "Israeli Arab"? It makes things very confusing to read.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Business~ma to Maria's DH.

libkitty, take care of yourself.

Results of Teddy's post-hospital follow-up -- his weight is down from when he was last officially weighed several weeks ago, but the vet is more pleased that he's eating than displeased that he's lost weight. I think it helps that I've noticed that Teddy's hip bones are now less prominent than they were last week.

He's now comfortably sprawled on the bed. On top of my lounging pajamas.

What is even happening?

Oh, that's a nice Teddy post to read! I'm so glad for his improvement, Fred Pete.

One would think that having one's MIL stop talking altogether would lessen this problem, but I have to say it does not. In other words, sj, I hear ya. It's hard to see someone you love be dumped on in a way that is hard to stop.

Thanks, Nora. I'm lucky in that I have both the crazy making not!MIL and the good not!MIL (the step-not!MIL) and we see the good one more often, so at least there is a good side. Still, crazy making.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I know some people don't like interleague play, but damn. Reds vs. A's - that's a replay of the '72 and '88 World Series.

Matilda's in a good mood for the first time in a week. We don't know if it was the teething or something else, but she wasn't anything but fuss last week.
