Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hola Bitches.

Quick toe update: still not entirely certain I broke it. It may have just been a jam. After spending the first two days keeping it elevated and iced, by the third day (Thursday, I think), it hurt significantly less, and I was able to walk without too much trouble.

It's still a little tender and sore, but the bruise is gone, more or less, and it doesn't really hurt all that much. It never swelled up more than a little, and it was never out of shape or deformed.

So, who knows? Maybe it was a break, maybe not.

Schrodinger's toe.

Or perhaps the Heisenberg Uncertainty About Toes Principle.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I am the overachiever of the bunch because I started with allergies, moved on to a nice sorbet of a viral thingie, left there but stopped off for both a sinus infection and bronchitis and then, hello asthma.

Please tell me this is not how you spent your B-day, at least? (Happy slightly belated, by the way!)

Glad to hear you're recovering from your injuries, whatever their type and severity, Sean.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Please tell me this is not how you spent your B-day, at least?
Oh no. It's how I spent the month or few before it. But dad was here last week for racing and he freaked listening to me cough and sniffle and not really breathe right so he nagged and nagged me to the doctor.

Which was an excellent call because I walked out with two new meds (allergy and then an allergy/asthma combo) and whoa, breathing is really, really awesome.

Poor ouchy-toed Sean.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm tired and happy to only have a little over an hour before I can go home. Also happy that after 4 days of none, I have hot water again.

I found this website today that I suspect will cost me an awful lot of money. [link]

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I just bought 20-hole Doc Martens off of Zappo's, specifically because they have steel toes. This is after spending a chunk at the motorcycle gear store (helmet & gloves) on Friday. I'll probably buy this jacket soon, too. All before owning a bike. This motorcycling thing = 'spensive. OTOH, staying in one piece = priceless.

Also, shopping! Fun!

I was thinking about the tradeoffs I've done lately - no theater, which saddens me, but then I get to travel and go to concerts and get a motorcycle and things I've wanted to do for years and have not been able to afford. I'm very lucky. Also possibly not coherent.

Oooh. I just remembered I have a Luna bar in my purse. Yay healthy afternoon snack.

Excellent! Always a fan of the good meds. Got to take my first hit of Albuterol at a party last week when I started an allergy-driven asthma attack. I, too, am a big fan of the Breathing.

Ok. This one I have to have.

So. Cute.

Yes, please to remain in one (brilliant, awesome) piece. (Not to be a wet blanket on your good time - it's just I passed a motorcycle fatality on my way home a few weeks ago. He was apparently just driving too fast and lost control. I've been a little "Please be careful" to all motorcycle-driving friends and acquaintances since then. So, please be careful, while having your fun, HAWT time). KTHX.
