Welcome home, Jess. Good work there from the (all too few) pictures I've seen. You make good baby!
Cindy, I think you've gotten good advice. I'd just watch it till tomorrow. No, actually, I'd fret and end up paging the doctor to have her calm me down, then need an Ativan so I could nap from all the working up I did. Then I'd watch it till Monday.
(The longer story is in Natter, but...) at my cousin the RN's insistance, I took her to the ER, where they did absolutely nothing. I will call up the pedi tomorrow, just to make sure he thinks her tetanus shot is current enough. I Ativanned up before I got upset, so it wasn't bad. It is a HUGE victory for me (anxiety/agoraphobia-wise) to be able to be the one to take her to the E.R. HUGE. And? I think I might have been able to do it without the Ativan. I just didn't know if we'd be there for hours and hours, so I figured it was better to pre-treat than kick myself for not pre-treating.
CASS!!!!
Happy Real Birthday, Cass!
Definitely better to go, even if they didn't do anything. And yay for making it through, Cindy!
Me, I went to Baltimore last night and someone broke into my car--didn't take anything, but busted up the window. Did you know auto glass places aren't open on Sundays? Fuckers. And y'know, very few of my friends live in neighborhoods where you could park a car with no window and not have it further vandalized. I ended up driving it to my boss' house this afternoon.
More importantly, the drama and inconvenience made it so I did not get any nookie, which is what I was hoping for. BOOO! Stupid junkies.
Aw sheeeesh, meara. Do you have glass coverage on your automobile insurance? We lost the windshield in the Camry, a little over a week ago. A tree limb fell on it. The insurance covered the replacement 100%, but it was still a pain in the neck.
Cindy!
Oh damn, meara. That just ... sucks. Both the having your car vandalized and the having nothing of the nookie variety last night. I haven't had car troubles like that for years and I still have oogy shivers reading about yours. No good very bad thing. I hope you can get the glass repaired soon.
Sorry about the City that Bleeds, Meara.
Television stars can be such divas.
Cindy, nope--it's part of my comprehensive, which has a $500 deductible....and it looks like it'll cost about $220, so no point in that.
Do have plans to get it done first thing in the morning, but we'll see if that's true. The problem of course being the whole "I ahve to go to work and then to the airport and then i'm gone for 10 days" part.
Someone keep me from jumping through the phone and killing my
not!m-i-l.
Matricides are(usually) relationship killers.
Of course, hindsight is always 20-20, right?
Welcome home Jessica. It's going to be tough to top the awsome gift you have to E this year for Father's Day. Yay for the added pictures. No sound on the video for me though.
{{meara}} Stupid window breaking people. I never lock my doors because I don't keep anything in the car worth more than my window. I've had the glovebox dumped a couple times, but not big bucks damage. Crazy inconvenient. And no nookie! Sorry sweety.
Sorry for the ER drama, Cindy. When Bobby sunk the construction drywall screw into the bottom of his foot I thought for sure that his doctor would give him a tetanus shot, but nope. He numbed his foot to remove the screw and gave him some painkillers. (he never needed them) Didn't even give him antibiotics. Doc said that tetanus shots are overused. I don't know, it's what you got when I was a kid.
I gotta go with erika's advice on the matricide, sj. But just in case, I'm here for your alibi.
