Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I figure they're being new parents, y'know?

Oh totally.

But now that my uterus has been used as housing (read: now that I'm a mom), I tend to get worried a little quicker than I used to.

Plus, impatient.

THERE IS NO FAMILY ONLY US!!

Our wings are not tired.

My current baby theory is that the cell phones have lost battery power at this point and updating Twitter or Beep Me isn't possible. Also, no signal in L&D complicating matters.

Hey, Tep?

Is acetaminophen an anti-inflamitory?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, it is SO beautiful outside. WHY, oh, why am I back in the office. This is wrong.

Word. All I want to do is go have lunch and a few beers at Zeitgeist.

Count me in among the worried for the Alters.

Nope. It's an analgesic (no pain) and anti-pyretic (no fever), but it does nothing in the way of inflammation. Quoi?

Alter mom and baby ~ma. Not worried, since I can imagine all sorts of frustrating scenarios without bad outcomes, but concerned, since I can imagine the other kind too.

Ended up with about 4.5 hours sleep. Blergh. On the bright side, while I feel like crap from no sleep, and I'm still coughing, I can talk with almost a normal voice in complete sentences, and am, for the first time in a while, feeling like I might actually get better. Work tomorrow might be optimistic, but I'm dreaming of it nonetheless.

I never would have thought about the grapefruit thing. I wonder why I haven't seen the warning before. And they didn't mention it on the drug packaging, just in some of the online places. Huh.

Toe. Not that it's terribly inflamed, but it was suggested I take anti-inflammatories.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I think Advil and Aleve both qualify.

Hubby didn't know about a grapefruit interaction with one of his heart drugs till I was poking around his drug bottles and said, "Why does this one say to avoid grapefruit on the warning label?" "Huh?" he said, as he drank his favorite grapefruit juice laden soft drink.

Bad enough he was on Warfarin (rat poison!!), but his Fresca was interfering with it, too. Nasty stuff, Warfarin/Coumidin. All sorts of foods you have to avoid.

If acetaminophen is all you have on hand, it ought to at least help with the pain, even if it doesn't help w/swelling.

Poor Seanie's toe!
