I never would have thought about the grapefruit thing. I wonder why I haven't seen the warning before. And they didn't mention it on the drug packaging, just in some of the online places. Huh.

Hubby didn't know about a grapefruit interaction with one of his heart drugs till I was poking around his drug bottles and said, "Why does this one say to avoid grapefruit on the warning label?" "Huh?" he said, as he drank his favorite grapefruit juice laden soft drink.

Bad enough he was on Warfarin (rat poison!!), but his Fresca was interfering with it, too. Nasty stuff, Warfarin/Coumidin. All sorts of foods you have to avoid.

Toe. Not that it's terribly inflamed, but it was suggested I take anti-inflammatories.

If acetaminophen is all you have on hand, it ought to at least help with the pain, even if it doesn't help w/swelling.

Pain pills are weird. Naproxin sodium won't touch my toothache pain, but ibuprofen knocks it right down. I have a root canal tomorrow--praise be, it's time for this tooth to meet its match--and I plan to be hanging out with my buddies Lora (lortab) and Perky (percocet) on the Isla de Ibuprofen this weekend.

Does fresca have actual grapefruit in it? I would've assumed it was artificial flavoring, which wouldn't affect anything.

According to Wikipedia it contains concentrated grapefruit juice.

I was at Mom's school for a couple of hours with no cell signal. I was hoping for baby news when I left.

Blarg. My new online classroom interface thinks my name is misspelled and there is no way mark that spelling as acceptable. EVERY time I post, I get asked if I mean Susie, Suzie, scuzzy...

FRUSTRATING!

Back from seemingly never ending meetings, ugh. One meeting had cupcakes, thank goodness. Sure, they were cupcakes that I had brought in (because I was instructed to), but still! Cupcakes. I have one left, sitting on my desk.

Man, I was hoping I'd come in here and there'd be baby Alter news.

Stepdad's retirement party is tonight. I have to go alone because TCG has a meeting. Stepdad works at my high school. I hope I don't run into too many people I know asking me what I'm doing with my life. I feel so much better about going to these things with TCG by my side.

I never look in from work - but I had to see... however I am sad ....no baby news....
