[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Did it taste like chicken?

Did it taste like chicken?

No, but I think we just found David Boreanz's worst nightmare.

I would not want a home birth simply because I"m given to understand birthing involves a lot of....fluids. Messy shit. And I would not want anyone to have to clean my house, but *I* sure as hell wouldn't be doing so.

(edit: you may not be able to tell from my usual housekeeping, but yes, yes I AM a Virgo...)

I totally want a home birth (you know, when the time comes) but no one else seems to think it's a good idea.

aren't you coming back to this area? My SIL went to an awesome birthing center. I walked in, and it looked like a regular bedroom, big queensized 4 poster bed, antique dresser, comfy chair, carpet. Then you go into the bathroom and it's like a hospital. There was a mixture of clinical and "homey" rooms. They have admitting privileges at a hospital 10 minutes away. It was nice actually.

It would be awesome if they had a Hello Kitty room....

Because books.

I couldn't even have midwives because of the diabetes. Stupid body.

Then again, I was very happy for the drugs I got.

I'll probably have to have a csection, between the tilted uterus and the fibroid surgery but whatever happens, there WILL be drugs.

This is exactly what I want, but they don't have it here. And I don't think I want to wait two years until we leave. I'm a bit ahead of myself because, you know, notpregnant, but I started thinking about all this back when I was pregnant.

I've been to two hospitals here and I wouldn't wnat to have a baby in either, if I could avoid it. But Joe is resistant to a home birth and I get that. Not sure what I will do in the end, but I now have a lot longer the figure that out.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Given my family history, I either want a birthing center with admitting privileges or a hospital. Drugs are a given. C-section is a high possiblity (shading in to probability as I age). Home birth is a no frickin' way, even though I am a Cancer.
