Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Anne! Call in and play with us all day!

Poor Aimee. Still on West Coast time, sweetie?

I'm feeling all accomplished. I've already done my morning routine stuff--including going to the gym and showering! It's not even 9:00 a.m.!

You've had major life changes, Aimee, you'll get used to your new work schedule soon.

I feel bad that the cable guy is having to work around my book boxes to get to one of the cable jacks. I didn't think he would need to get to the one I won't be using.

sj, I'm sure they've worked with worse. Quit worrying!

I finally called Verizon about my no Internet issue. Now I don't have to steal from the neighbors anymore!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies, all. I skipped about 300 messages, so ~ma to anyone who needs it.

I had jury duty yesterday, which was possibly one of the most boring experiences of my life. Then my dad and I went to a Yankees game, which was a lot of fun. (We had nosebleed seats, but right behind home plate, so a perfect view of the whole field.)

I'm going back to DC today. Starting teaching tomorrow. Not quite ready for vacation to be over.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Blarg - jury duty. Are you off now Hil?

I just found out that our admin assistant has to appear for jury duty today. This is the assistant who is covering for our usual admin who just went off on maternity leave. So, if she gets selected - guess who is the only other person trained to finish our monthly report. Yeah, me. And L is off this week due to her latest chemo.

Yep. I begged off with "I've got to start teaching on Thursday, and it's a graduate level course and there's no one else who can cover for me." Which is all true. (The judge asked if I had anything to show him that I wasn't making it up. I didn't, but he excused me anyway.)
