Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

These movers are the quickest I've had. An hour and a half to pack the truck and they're making quick work of unpacking too.

Fantastic, sj! It's nice to see moving going more smoothly than expected.

I hope all is going well with Jessica and the WeeAlter, and that this is not as bothersome as it sounds in the posts. Not that the posts are bothersome, mind you, just well, stay safe and as comfie as possible.

So, I got into the English Senior Honors program at school. YAY!

Yay, vw!!

IOmememeN, the codiene is helpful, but not doing the trick. I'm now on antibiotics and will start the prednisone tomorrow if there's not significant improvement. I'm all sorts of depressed about still being sick, and not thrilled with the idea of prednisone, after all I've heard about it, but I really, really want to stop hacking and breathe normally.

Question: Is lung inflamation code for asthma? I'm kind of suspicious with the prednisone and albuterol prescriptions.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Not necessarily. Sounds like bronchitis to me and my doc always prescribes prednisone and albuterol (well, not really as I am allergic to albuterol, but an albuterol-like inhaler) for me when I have bronchitis. They both really help open you up and make you feel oh so much better.

I really hope Jessica is home and sleeping comfortably tonight.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yay, SJ. I'm glad it's going smoothly, after all this.

One thing that's making my whole house hunting thing less stressful is all the connections I somehow have. My mentor/manager at work is also my RE agent. My minion from old job had a rocky path but bought a house a couple of years ago - and hence has found top-notch inspectors and lawyers. My best friend here moved recently - from the neighborhood I'm leaving to roughly where I'm going - and had great movers. So a lot of the elements that are usually so fraught are pretty smooth for me.

It's just the craxy elderly Polish folks throwing a spanner into the works. Ah well.

It is a wonder drug. I'm not saying I'd like to take it a long time, but as a short term thing it can really help you.

You somehow have them because you have been there for so many before. That karma thing rocks. I'm so excited for you. As stressful as home buying and owning is, I'm all for it.

{{{{Jessica}}}} Sleep well. You've got all kinds of ~ma stored up for tomorrow. Also, {{Fone}}

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Our realtor is someone we have known for a while from the dog park. Our mortgage broker went to high school with and has done 4 house deals for two of our best friends. It makes a stressful thing much less stressful.

Our wings are not tired.

And since I can't possibly post any more tonight I am off to bed myself. First I must warn the teens that not all of us are on summer vacation. See Laura putting on the mean mom hat.

Also, basketball rather disappointing tonight. Not surprising, but not the outcome I wanted either.

See, I said I wasn't posting again, and yet.

Robin, what I said to Brenda. What goes around, comes around. I love reading about the good stuff happening in my beloved Buffistas' lives.

G'night, really!

move out and draw fire

He won't road trip it to NY to see the Yankees/Tigers game.

Tigers are playing the Nationals here this weekend. IJS.

Oh, Jessica, how annoying. But tons and tons of ~ma for tomorrow!

The hospital in Athens had a couple delivery rooms, surrounded by labor rooms. Before you got into a labor room, there was a triage sort of room where they asked me a bunch of questions in Greek while contractions kicked my ass, telling me to do the breathing exercises while answering the questions. @@. I think they have my father's name as "unnhghngh" and my husband's as "aaaiiiieeeehhhh!"
