Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

now the other odd show - garden police. Honestly most straight forward design shows are interesting enough - adding goofiness isn't helpful.

and I'm with Sparky, just make sure you don't seem stand offish or mad when you see them next.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

A vendor just tried to kill me with a boring presentation of stuff that's not new.

was there at least free food or good swag?

There was lunch, and for swag a coffee mug and mints. This was company L, so we'll see what company W comes up with in a week or two when they give their spiel.

I think that company W had better swag, at least they did when I was working at the Law School.

Generally, I agree. However, I'll never forgive them for the stuffed-animal armadillo purse they tried to give away when our meeting was in San Antonio.

Someone answering an anonymous survey about my presentation last week called me a bigot because I picked on Britney Spears and Barry Bonds in my examples. Huh.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Obviously, you're prejudiced against stupid people (Britney ... who's Barry Bonds?)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm assuming they took offense to the Barry issue. Still, WTF? Barry is a controversial figure right now - is everyone bigoted? (Personally, I'm of the opinion that everyone dopes and we should either tighten testing or drop the damn issue. Which is nothing against you, Sparky. I'll just shut the hell up now.)

Bigoted about people who make incredibly moronic choices in the public eye? Hang your head in shame.

Barry Bonds

Baseball player for the SF Giants, home run hitter. He's news nearly every night in the Bay Area, so that example always worked well when I lived there. And I'll keep using it because I have all the documents scanned and marked up rather than going through the pain of making many, many new slides for some other case.

Hang your head in shame.

If I do that, I might fall asleep.
