Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
FredPete, it was a pleasure meeting you and Hubs. I hope you weren't TOO late for your appointment.
I got into work this morning to find a FedEx from my manager in Boise. It was a thank you card and a gift cert to my favorite massage place. Oh, and a nail file with a painted palm tree on it - so cute. How much does that rock?!?!? I am a happy camper!!!
Oh, oh, oh - and log-style sleeping must be the rage, cause I caught me some of that too. YAY!!!
so tired! Working both days of the weekend is one thing; the horrible thing is coming in on Monday and knowing that you still have 5 more days before you get a break.
out of a whole stack of houses, we found one (a little twin [duplex for those in the non-Philly regions]) that we liked, could afford, and that was in a neighborhood that we both felt safe in (politically, socially, environmentally, etc...). We felt so strongly about it that we put a bid in on it, but it seems the price was intended to spark a bidding war (I thought that badness was OVER), and there are at least two other bids in with ours. The sellers are considering today - this feels like 2001 all over again.
I need some patented house~ma from the bitches.
All my ~ma, Sox. I hope this bidding-war unpleasantness turns out to be just a small bump in a long happy history with the house.
Poor Nora! Universities aren't supposed to work people that hard! Will you get any comp time (official or unofficial)?
House ~ma, Sox!
House~ma to Sox! Where is the house?
Still sick. My sinuses hate me. The feeling is mutual.
House ~ma, Sox. the whole ordeal is so stressful.
Poor Nora! Universities aren't supposed to work people that hard! Will you get any comp time (official or unofficial)?
Commencement was Friday and our office runs reunions for our section of the School. Happily, it's only once a year, and even more happily, I'm an hourly employee who's about to collect on 26 hours of time and a half OT. I's just tired today and it's gonna be a long week...
But everything went really well all weekend so we're being showered with kudos and I think that this week will be pretty mellow in the office, 'cause we're all wiped out.
amyliz -it's north of the city. I'm being cagey because I'm afraid of teh jinx.
PSA (and good ~ma forward): i just got phished from someone spoofing an amazon order - without my spam goggles on, it looks relatively real - even has an order number on it and says that I need to give them a valid form of payment in 24 hours. the return links are coded, but they basically go back to www.iamahacker.com. be careful if you get anything like it from the internets today. I get a bunch of them, but this one looked righter than usual.
My department is topsy-turvy today because one of the department heads was bitten by a spider on Wednesday afternoon and no one has heard from her since despite phone and email messages asking what's happening. She's not the drama queen type, but she is the hermity type, so we've sent a couple people over to her house.
Nora, I hope someone takes you out to lunch or something, instead of just speaking kudos.
Sox's bid-upon house is cute! ::crosses fingers harder::
