Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There was an article in our paper today about little league pitch count rules. I thought about y'all.

Oh, also I think me and the girls might be heading y'all's way next month. L needs to get out of town, and A has a hook up at the hotels.

Also also, we're starting a band. Bitchy Kitty. We'll have Hello Kitty gear and do heavy metal sugar pop style.

t pokes thread

Anyone around? I've still got a ridiculous number of comments to write before 8AM. Bah. On the up-side, I've already sent the "I'm sick" email. Why on earth should I drag my carcass into work on a day after the students are done and I have no meetings whatsover? And the email wasn't technically a lie; I'm guessing I've got another two+ hours of comment writing left, and I sure as hell would be sick if I tried to get up and drive through rush hour on little to no sleep.

I'm glad L isn't at the house, but there's so much crap she's going to have to go through before it's over.

Oh, DJ. This is so scary. You both are in my thoughts.

Thanks for all the nice thoughts about my ordeal last night. I slept like a log (no nightmares, for which I was thankful) and feel much better this morning.

{{{Kristin}}} I'm around now, but that's probably not very helpful.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Man, I am exhausted! Didn't fall asleep until 2, and then my body decides 6 am is a fabulous time to wake up. I don't actually remember my last good night of sleep.

DJ, I am so scared for your friend. What's up with the violent crazy DAsshats, anyway? First EM, then L... Yikes.

Those Matilda pics are funny. I love the one JZ linked.

meara, I always thought you had a made up name, and then to see it in a book was startling, but it clued me in to how it probably should be pronounced.

I don't wanna go to jury duty. Ugh.

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((vw))))

Breakfast with suziq was fabulous. If she's back in the area on business again, I'll have to start showing her the back routes to various places.

In other news, gronk.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

FredPete, it was a pleasure meeting you and Hubs. I hope you weren't TOO late for your appointment.

I got into work this morning to find a FedEx from my manager in Boise. It was a thank you card and a gift cert to my favorite massage place. Oh, and a nail file with a painted palm tree on it - so cute. How much does that rock?!?!? I am a happy camper!!!

Oh, oh, oh - and log-style sleeping must be the rage, cause I caught me some of that too. YAY!!!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

so tired! Working both days of the weekend is one thing; the horrible thing is coming in on Monday and knowing that you still have 5 more days before you get a break.

not your mom's socks.

out of a whole stack of houses, we found one (a little twin [duplex for those in the non-Philly regions]) that we liked, could afford, and that was in a neighborhood that we both felt safe in (politically, socially, environmentally, etc...). We felt so strongly about it that we put a bid in on it, but it seems the price was intended to spark a bidding war (I thought that badness was OVER), and there are at least two other bids in with ours. The sellers are considering today - this feels like 2001 all over again.

I need some patented house~ma from the bitches.
