Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
If it makes you feel better, I saw her and snubbed her.
That right there is a true friend, o meara my meara.
{{{vw}}} Random aggressive crazy substance-abusing people on public transit is just suckalicious; it's so easy to feel completely trapped. Good on you for reporting him and getting out of there -- even all freaked out, you're taking care of yourself.
Kristin's hair sounds gorgeous, and I'm glad I can't see Tep's boy all dressed up because I'm fairly certain I would covet his corset.
ION, they grow up so fast...
DJ, that's AWFUL! I'm so glad she's away from him, I hope she's able to stay away.
wondered if it's pronounced Mee-eh-rah like I always imagined or meer-ah like I suspect (although maybe also mare-ah).
Hee! Well, I suppose really you can pronounce it however--it's not my "real" name. But when I answer to it, it's usually when it's pronounced more along the "meer-ah" lines
If it makes you feel better, I saw her and snubbed her.
Actually, that makes me feel a lot better. Thank you. :)
ION, they grow up so fast...
Hee!
Oh, Daisy, I'm so glad L. is out of there! That's a whole lot of bad craziness. Poor girl.
Aw, meara, come see me in Dallas. We'll go to Buddies where you'll be the hottest thing in the place.
I'm glad L isn't at the house, but there's so much crap she's going to have to go through before it's over.
Right now I'm watching John Tucker Must Die. It's been bad boy movie night for me.
JZ, could you not get to the link? It's here, and the username/password is KristinT/buffistas.
vw, I am SO sorry about your awful encounter. Hugs hugs and peaceful sleep.
In meme news, I am completely done with grading! But...only 2 comments into 59. Um. Good thing I can sleep in tomorrow since these suckers are due by 8AM and I think I'll be posting them around 3.
Isn't this the point where you send the water boy in and suddenly discover that he's an amazing pitcher? Or maybe send in that wacky pet monkey that's been responsible for all those hijinks? Or maybe this is the time for a player to be bitten by a radioactive Sandy Koufax?
Pretty much what happened. Emmett's close friend Nicky who has talent but can rarely marshal it when needed stepped up big today, pitched three strong innings, and we won a seesaw battle. Camilio, who is our most improved player over the course of the season, spent the last three days hitting in the batting cage until his hands got blisters, came in and had two huge hits and 4 RBIs for us. Emmett played well, but this was a team win.
Oy. Now we've got to fight our way through the loser's bracket which is just ridiculously impossible. Basically every game is an elimination game and if we win we play the following day. So we play Tuesday. If we lose, we're out, if we win, we play Wednesday. If we win that we play Thursday. If we win that we have to play Friday.
This is all extremely unlikely because the pitch count rules will deplete my pitching long before we can play and win four games in four days.
But we'll just have to see what happens.
Anyway, very proud of my team today. I purposefully jiggered the lineup to make sure all the kids who'd been getting more bench time in the playoffs played the entire game and they each contributed.
There was an article in our paper today about little league pitch count rules. I thought about y'all.
Oh, also I think me and the girls might be heading y'all's way next month. L needs to get out of town, and A has a hook up at the hotels.
Also also, we're starting a band. Bitchy Kitty. We'll have Hello Kitty gear and do heavy metal sugar pop style.

Anyone around? I've still got a ridiculous number of comments to write before 8AM. Bah. On the up-side, I've already sent the "I'm sick" email. Why on earth should I drag my carcass into work on a day after the students are done and I have no meetings whatsover? And the email wasn't technically a lie; I'm guessing I've got another two+ hours of comment writing left, and I sure as hell would be sick if I tried to get up and drive through rush hour on little to no sleep.
I'm glad L isn't at the house, but there's so much crap she's going to have to go through before it's over.
Oh, DJ. This is so scary. You both are in my thoughts.
Thanks for all the nice thoughts about my ordeal last night. I slept like a log (no nightmares, for which I was thankful) and feel much better this morning.
{{{Kristin}}} I'm around now, but that's probably not very helpful.
