Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

'Hell Bound'

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That's excellent, sj! Aside from the alarms.

The alarms are more funny than upsetting. We're done for the day and headed to get Chinese food in a little while. Mom is going to help me finish packing up my office tomorrow while Dave prepares for his meeting tomorrow night. It's going to be such a long week. We don't have a day that is our own until next Saturday.

Trust my rage

Someone gave Ellie a Bitty Baby for Christmas. Ellie used to hate the baby but just now she's alternating between giving the baby a bottle of juice and covering up the baby with her blanket and saying "night night." I think that's all pretty normal, but I mention it because she used to try to smother the baby.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This is why two year olds are not your first choice of babysitter.

Mostly lurking...

Overheard today at an exhibit on pets in a museum, "Look! It's lady on the tramp!"

Because books.

Yay for electricity, sj!

Yay for Ellie no longer smothering the Bitty Baby, Stephanie!

I'm home in bed, sicker than sick, and am watching The 40 Most Softsational Soft Rock Songs of all time, or whatever. Oh my, the memories. A random sampling of the last few:

"You Light Up My Life"
"Horse With No Name"
"Lonely Boy"
"More Than Words"
"Sometimes When We Touch"

I'm cringing and humming simultaneously.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hope the cheese helps the healing, AmyLiz!

Laundry is no more done than last time I posted. I had to return a book to the library and they were having a book sale...need I say more? I am having a beer, though, because it is pretty hot and the beer is cool and refreshing, yay.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I think we may have the same thing, AmyLiz. If so, you have my deepest sympathies. I was cringing at work with a horrid sore throat when you were posting about it here (I should have stayed home, but I had a presentation), and now, I'm looking at a beautiful day outside while attempting to drink an ocean of tea and not cough up a lung.

I have moved out to the couch. I was tickled to find that my local Blockbuster has all of S1 of Due South, not just 'Best of' compilations that I've seen before, so I'm using Paul Gross to divert my attention from my miserable throat and lungs. It's working pretty well except when I'm actually mid-hack, or when the folks outside sound like they're having an especially good time. I suppose I could go out and sit in the sun, but that would require taking a shower and getting dressed, and that sounds like altogether too much work. Walking to the bathroom sounds like altogether too much work. I must, however, walk to the kitchen, as I require more medicine. Blergh.

Poor sick libkitty and AmyLiz, that sounds dreadful! Health~ma~~~

Thanks for the thought, beth. DH is now napping around and on top of the folded but not put away clean clothes, so it's just as well we don't add to them.

Because books.

I'm looking at a beautiful day outside while attempting to drink an ocean of tea and not cough up a lung.

My sister in woe. It's attacked my sinuses, my chest, my ears ... there's no escape. I've been out of bed exactly three times today, to pee.

I had to return a book to the library and they were having a book sale...need I say more?

Library book sales! One of my favorite things ever.
