Today both the smoke alarm in my current apartment and the one in my new apartment started beeping for new batteries shortly after my stepfather entered the room. We decided he's cursed.
Either that or he's on fire. Possibly also Satan. Brimstone and smoke are a lot alike.
Or, you know, what he had for dinner last night could have an effect.
I just got back from working out. I can totally feel it in my arms and not so much for my legs, at least not yet. I feel all accomplished even though there's a ton of stuff to do around the house.
Right now, inspired by all the talk of baseball and my HD tv I'm checking out the current game of the Mets vs Tigers.
That's excellent, sj! Aside from the alarms.
The alarms are more funny than upsetting. We're done for the day and headed to get Chinese food in a little while. Mom is going to help me finish packing up my office tomorrow while Dave prepares for his meeting tomorrow night. It's going to be such a long week. We don't have a day that is our own until next Saturday.
Someone gave Ellie a Bitty Baby for Christmas. Ellie used to hate the baby but just now she's alternating between giving the baby a bottle of juice and covering up the baby with her blanket and saying "night night." I think that's all pretty normal, but I mention it because she used to try to smother the baby.
This is why two year olds are not your first choice of babysitter.
Overheard today at an exhibit on pets in a museum, "Look! It's lady on the tramp!"
Yay for electricity, sj!
Yay for Ellie no longer smothering the Bitty Baby, Stephanie!
I'm home in bed, sicker than sick, and am watching The 40 Most Softsational Soft Rock Songs of all time, or whatever. Oh my, the memories. A random sampling of the last few:
"You Light Up My Life"
"Horse With No Name"
"Lonely Boy"
"More Than Words"
"Sometimes When We Touch"
I'm cringing and humming simultaneously.
Hope the cheese helps the healing, AmyLiz!
Laundry is no more done than last time I posted. I had to return a book to the library and they were having a book sale...need I say more? I am having a beer, though, because it is pretty hot and the beer is cool and refreshing, yay.
I have pulled more weeds. Some how the Ivy still does not fear me.
I did a load of laundry. should have put one in for -t.
