plus they have the wondrous Greg Maddux.
He's on the Padres this year.
Cindy, I think many of those styles would work for you. I say print out the top five and take them into your stylist for a Dialogue.
I don't think that last is too fairyish for you!
So, Emmett missed seeing a no hitter by Curt Schilling (one of his favorite players) by one out. That's right - Schill pitched 8 2/3rds innings of no hit baseball, and then the A's got one single. Then Schilling struck out the last batter.
That's what my "hmmm" was about. I could see that Schilling was on, and Oakland is the best stadium for a no-no in baseball. I kind of had a feeling he might. And he almost did.
Emmett's very pissed at Shannon Stewart now. (The A's player who broke up the no hitter.)
One. Out. Away.
JZ's baseball post makes me want to touch the hem of her robe adoringly.
Also? I once sold actual VINYL record albums to Joe Torre, who is indeed awesome, even though I am a diehard Mets fan.
Cindy, I like the first cut in the second batch of pictures, although I think it could take a lot of product. I think I liked the first one in the first batch, too -- the Plei one looked like you have to have really thick hair. (Which you might; I don't.) I also liked the last one in the first set, and I think you could totally carry it off.
Sox! Choose West Chester! Go West Chester! Although, it looks like any way you go we could definitely consider ourselves "neighbors" in the Buffista sense of the word. And tell me more about the Arts and Crafts colony after you check it out -- that sounds really interesting.
They took pity on me and my sore throat and general crankiness tonight, and let me go home early from work. I wish I could simply hustle pool for a living. So much more enjoyable than retail. And I could even drink and smoke while I was on the clock!
But how cool that he got to see that live!

Yes, this is true. No baseball in my house tonight. Basketball. Go Cavs!!

The best man at my first wedding was from Chestnut Hill. DH#1 was a Philly boy. BM#1 hung his Penn diploma in the bathroom much to his parents horror.

Yes, this. Except, Emmett can root for the Red Sox anytime, because he's obviously very good luck.
The Yankees are my home team. I root for them.
And no, it's not a question of picking either the Yankees or the Mets as the home team. I'm from the Bronx. It's the Yankees. They've got the history, they've got the myths, they've got the pinstripes. They're Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle, and they're "Ladies and gentlemen, the Bronx is burning" and the Bronx Zoo, too. They're my team.
For the uninitiated, here's JZ's baseball crush Huston Street.
He's famous for being cool in the clutch and unfailingly raised-right Southern boy polite.
See? He's got a sweet smile.
Also he does a variation on the Marsters tongue-loll when faced with a particularly vexing batter like Vladimir Guerrero.
And here he is in drag.
My family members are huge Yankees fans. In particular my brother and mom. I don't think my sisters care about baseball so much.
So, which Yankees are the huge ones?
Oh hell yes. Swisher in particular, though I liked him better with the long hair. He's so cute! And happy! And does silly dances!
Two Swisher notes: He grew his hair out for a locks of love type charity and dedicated it to his Grandma who raised him and died of cancer. Second, he invented the home run dance with Milton Bradley who is the epitome of the misunderstood bad boy of baseball (who did I mention is really good hearted but nobody understands him?).
Swish also signed Emmett's baseball glove.
Swisher with long hair
Eric Chavez is cute too.
Also, Rich Harden has a nice booty. Plus, he's Canadian! (With a handsome Canadian-next-door face)
