Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Random news: I scored a T-shirt that says "Kiss My Tiara" for $3 on the clearance rack yesterday.

Ben and I are seeing Pirates 3 today, too. So far it's been a decent weekend, aside from the punishing humidity and heat. Blech.

What kind of asshats are renting in the D.C. area, Raq? Who wouldn't want a smart, sexy woman of the world with an adorable child and husband?

vw, your day yesterday sounds ... well, head-bangy. But it all worked out! And there was icce cream!

sj, I'm so sorry about the family picture thing. That's just mean. I'm glad you and TCG had some fun, though.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Does anybody else play the game Tropix? I downloaded it the other day. It's just a silly little collection of games like Solitaire and Sudoku and a Zuma clone etc. but you also have this island with a monkey and a crab on it and you buy them things. It's very silly and apparantly designed just for me because I totally love it. Anyway I named my first island La Isla Buffista.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for the symapthy, everyone. Thanks for the -ma for my aunt as well. We're going to make an extra effort to see her this summer.

Housing-ma Raq.

Maria, not the Italian side of my family, fwiw.

Ah...loving this new setup.

Poor Raq! People should totally rent to you. Do you need references? I would totally be a reference for you.

move out and draw fire

Thanks guys! I don't think it's a reference thing - I think it's that we want to live someplace nice and the landlords of those places don't want toddlers.

However, the place I'm hoping for now already has baby gates on the stairs, so some tenant had a child.

Or a dog, I guess.

Glad you're happy with your new computer setup, bug! Esp. after the hassle.

Oy. I really hope it works out, Raq. That would be so frustrating.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Raq, isn't it illegal for landlords to discriminate against people because they have small children?

I'm either really smart or a real idiot.

Last summer I couldn't run both air conditioners at the same time, because they were on the same circuit breaker. It would blow the fuse if I tried. So, today I decided that we'd put the bedroom AC in the other bedroom window, with plugs on the other side of the room to see if that would work. It did.

Now, wouldn't live have been more pleasant last summer if I'd tried that? Oh, well. It'll be nice this summer!

Delayed smartness is better than none, vw!

I find that happens to me a lot. I'll fret about something for ages, and one day a simple solution will occur to me, and then I can't decide if I'm real smart or real dumb.

If any of you want to see some fun pictures from my big drag show, I've put them up on flickr
