Shit's all sorts of different now.

"Bitch, don't roll your eyes at Vidal Sassoon!"

No Shit!

I was cracking up when Vidal was like, "Styling three heads, cut and color in three hours is hard work. YOU try it sometime, bitch." to Michael Carl.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm in total love with Vidal Sassoon now. Anyone know if there's a good biography or autobiography of him out there?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Anyone know if there's a good biography or autobiography of him out there?

He did a cool autobiography in the early seventies.

Hold on...

It's called Sorry, I Kept You Waiting Madam.

Looks like it might be out of print, but it's well worth finding.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just found this fascinating blog of old Sassoon stylists reminiscing about the 70s and 60s.

Fabulous sample:

Peggy had a Black MG Roadster soft top wire wheels when she was a teacher at the Academy .IIO MPH on the M4 ,Radio 1, White flying colours spiky hair .Chateau Margeaux in the trunk , dinner at Pommegranites and breakfast at Browns hotel Arblemarle st ,drinks at Finos Mayfair, Prestat truffles and stilton from Fortnams on Sunday."

Maybe he'll go north of Memphis this time around? I hope so!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Shear Genius: I totally know!

Everything was awful, Vidal was awesome and the biggest, coolest teddy bear ever! I think Daisy's ideas were strong, but once again, she ran into time management problems. She's all up about the fates and everything, when she dropped that container of dye, she should have just not colored. I couldn't believe she tried to do three color jobs when she only had to do one. Ben could have totally won if he'd left his first cut down. Doing an updo to prove you can when you can't, not the best strategy. I liked his concept, though. Anthony's cuts were all blah to me.

Oh, but I would like to point out that Anthony had won two challenges, too.

Thrive to spite them

Oh, now I'm all teary eyed, about the kid who gave up football because he loved dance more.
