Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

Experimental TV: Non-Fiction

This thread is part of an experiment to discern the Buffistas' future interest in television discussion. It will remain open until June 1st, 2007, upon which date there will be spirited debate regarding the infinite possibilities for our board's development. This thread is for non-fiction tv, including but not limited to documentaries and reality shows. [NAFDA]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

it feels like a show that may get canceled soon.

Since it's a summer reality series, and a Mark Burnett show, I think they'll probably let it run its course. (I could see them combining eps to make the series shorter, but cheapo off-season reality shows rarely get canceled, even on Fox.)

BBCA is running a Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares mini-marathon this morning.

I almost said "Oooh!" but then I remembered I don't get BBCA anymore. Stoopid Cablevision.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Gordon Ramsey is hot hot hott. I know he can be kind of a dick at times, but is so passionate and knowledgable that it makes it easier to take.

Art Crawl!!!

Are they running the Fox Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares this summer? Because then there will be both the British and US versions running at once. Which is kind of fun.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

also, for those who missed the Life on Mars marathon this morning, it's running again from 2-6AM

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

How many LoM episodes are they running?

Oddly, I'm more interested in seeing the series now that I'm spoiled for the ending.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

what channel are we talking about here? i looked on BBCA and didn't see it.

p.s. does this really belong in the Non-Fiction thread?

Um. Sorry. Thread-jumping.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I don't quite understand "On the Lot." Did I miss an episode? Wasn't there supposed to be an ep where people were eliminated based on a one hour take?

Anyway, tonight's ep was interesting but TOO drawn out. How you draw out 18-20 minutes worth of films into a 2 hour program is really outrageous.

Some of the films tonight were really really bad. I think it should be pretty easy to predict who will be eliminated. The guy who did "Wacky Cab" needs to go yesterday. Ack. That was some atrocious shit.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I think this was acutally the third episode of OTL. I didn't watch the previous ones. I agree, there were only a few good films.

Fox must have skipped one, because DH and I noticed the same thing! On Thursday there were 34 and they were in the middle of shooting the films that would narrow the field to 18. Fox must have decided not to risk another night of low ratings and just move on to the semifinals.

I also don't think the online voting is working, because I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet and it's been almost half an hour. And I don't care enough to pay for a text message.

Right now I'm all about Zach (adorable + Canadian + post-production geek + robots on fire = LOVE), but I'll also vote for the first woman to chuck something sharp and pointy at Gary Marshall's head.
