Yeah. I think if they had picked the teams who were the best racers and then given them a REALLY difficult race to run - that would have been interesting, but that isn't what they gave us.

Oh, that would have been cool.
Big Brother All Stars was awesome, in its ridiculous BB way. And I forget who won!
Jesse -
fucking Mike Malin won. The most odious of creatures.
TAR, blah. At least Charla and Mirna didn't win.
fucking Mike Malin won. The most odious of creatures.
Ha! Fucking Mike Boogie. What a fucking tool.
Somebody over at TWOP posted that TAR 12 has already been cast and we should get to see it in the Fall and that plans to cast TAR 13 are already in the works. So, even without official renewal news things seem to be clicking along.
TAR: Yeah, disappointing.
I think the major problem I'm starting to have is the way challenges are constructed. There's too much that compresses the teams, that eliminates any gain or loss from teams' cleverness & luck or stupidity & bad luck. There's no way to gain a strategic advantage on anybody. Which I know makes for more exciting finishes, but it also makes for a dumb race.
Plus they never have to figure anything out.
I think that the last leg is the worst for this -- they want an exciting race to the finish line but it makes the rest of the episode boring.
I was especially disappointed when time ran out while they were trying to crack the code, and they were simply handed the clue. Give them a penalty! Give them a new task! That was just dumb.
That last challenge was just plain dumb -- what's the point of calling it a challenge if you get the clue whether you solve it or not? The 10-minute time limit was clearly to ensure a footrace to the finish, but it made the challenge competely pointless.
