Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I only watched two or three episodes of last season. I guess I didn't have time to get tired of him and I just like his kind of voice and the songs he chooses.

I disagree that we have less talent this season. last season i wasn't dedicated to any one contestant. i voted for whoever i thought did the best. this season i clearly have a favorite and haven't voted for anyone but him for the past 6 or 8 weeks.

Taylor never did it for me. i really expected Kat to win and still think she should have(even if she thought so too.)

I missed Idol tonight because I was recording Gilmore Girls and NCIS. Who looks like they're going to get kicked off tomorrow?

Blake, Chris and Lakisha, bottom three.

My vote is on Blake to be gone, even though I do like him.

Not Lakisha! I'm fine with the other two leaving though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On the Pussycat Doll show finale, I'm assuming what they didn't show after the producer guy said, "I don't know how you can separate out 'performing' from singing!" was Robin saying, "None of the other non-Nicole girls can sing, and besides, we don't have a black one yet!"

AI: I'm happy we're down to people that can sing at least. I agree that LaKisha has been making really poor song choices. Of course, I haven't loved Melinda's of late either. And Chris's voice continues to bug. I think Phil has really improved, as has Jordin. Blake continues to be my favorite. I loved what Jacob at TWOP had to say about him this week:

"Blake is wearing probably his most awesome outfit in the history of Blakeology, and sings "Imagine" by John Lennon, because he is a pothead. It's basically a repeat of the Keane performance, but even less dynamic. What it is, is oddly sexy and delivered with sincerity so intense that Simon's heart grows three sizes."

What is even happening?

I don't watch AI, but the kids do. I walked through the living room while they were doing the segment with Randy on the rebuilding from Katrina. I saw that family living in the FEMA park. WTF, they can't even repair the damned community center there, or whatever it is. Those people have been living in those trailers for going on two years. TWO YEARS. There's shooting and drug dealing on federal freaking property. I think my blood pressure is through the roof, now.
