Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Experimental TV: Comedy

This thread is part of an experiment to determine Buffistas' interest in television discussion. It will close on June 1st, 2007, after which there will be a brief skirmish to sort out what we want to do next. This thread is for discussion of all comedy, regardless of airing station. [NAFDA]

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Now it's down to second-tier watching like The Dresden Files for the network axe suspense.

Seriously! Would they just *tell* us already? I mean, we know about BSG, and considering TDF got better Nielson than BSG airing on the same night, this should be a no-brainer. But I am more concerned about TDF than I was about SPN.

What is even happening?

Oh my poor Jenna Fischer.

Extremely sad news for one of our TV faves.

I've just spoken with Jenna Fischer's representative who confirmed to me that the Office star slipped and fell down a marble staircase on Monday and fractured her lower back in four places.

Jenna was hospitalized Monday night and is now resting in her hotel room until she can regain enough strength to fly home to Los Angeles. She is expected to recover in about four to six weeks.

I'm told Jenna's close friend and costar Angela Kinsey (who plays Angela on The Office) did not leave her side Monday and Tuesday and that Jenna's husband, James Gunn, dropped everything and flew out here to New York to be with her.

I've actually seen the very stairwell where the accident happened (though I was not there at the time) and can tell you it is incredibly steep, especially for someone wearing high heels. It could have been any of us who walked those very same steps, and honestly, my heart just goes out to her. Jenna, best wishes for a quick and thorough recovery.

What is even happening?

I was starting to worry about how worried I am for poor Jenna Fischer, when I found myself reading yet another report of her injury. But y'all really should read the whole thing:

TVGuide.com's wellest wishes go out to The Office's Jenna Fischer — one of our first-ever celebrity bloggers — who on Tuesday took a spill down the steps of an NYC club hosting an upfronts event and suffered four fractures in her back. "She avoided anything scary near the spine," Jenna's rep tells the New York Daily News. Office mate Angela Kinsey and Jenna's hubby, director James Gunn (who jetted in from L.A.), stayed with her overnight at the hospital.

Sidelined for four to six weeks, Fischer had to cancel a Conan O'Brien drop-by and a Harper's Bazaar shoot, the Post reports, but will make a full recovery in time to shoot Season 4 of The Office this summer.

Now, not to suggest anything, but... Dunder-Mifflin's Karen was seen leaving the scene with a canister of ACME ball bearings.
