'Get It Done'
Experimental TV: Comedy
This thread is part of an experiment to determine Buffistas' interest in television discussion. It will close on June 1st, 2007, after which there will be a brief skirmish to sort out what we want to do next. This thread is for discussion of all comedy, regardless of airing station. [NAFDA]
The leaked info I've heard so far have HIMYM returning to the 8pm timeslot. Really, it seems all the rumors about HIMYM being on the bubble originated with one columnist and just spread like crazy from there. Nobody else, as far as I can tell, has talked about the "bubble"ness independently.
We'll find out tomorrow for sure.
Speaking of blue French horns, one awesome continuity bit that was pointed out: in Showdown, the blue French horn is indeed gone from Robin's apartment.
We should send blue French horns!
Brilliant!
I have just watched the last two HIMYM eps and now I have to go back and see them all I think. funny stuff!
But, dag, why the laugh track?? It seems so dated to me.
I heard the other day HIMYM is safe.
Gosh, I hope so. I can't think of any other sitcom I enjoy more than HIMYM. I relate to it so much.
It was a nice way they played the wedding, with the last three eps--cutting in and out and constructing different stories. I so enjoy this show.
And Barney, so excited to have his dude back! And the way he was so invested in what happened with them!
I went over to the NBC website to look at the previews for the new shows and apparently Chuck is a comedy. For some reason I thought it was going to be action/adventure -- but it's comedic action adventure.
I kind of liked King of Queens. Not nine years of kind of liked, but I got some chuckles out of it. You wouldn't think that would be a career-building sentiment, though, would you?
Excellent news!
I have to say that the last line of the season finale is right up there alongside "I'd like to test that theory" as my most favoritest cut-to-commercial line evar, and may be my favorite season finale final line period. Unless someone else can remember something even more made of awesome.
