The Office is more like 45 minutes long according to my schedule. And then Scrubs is 34.
Experimental TV: Comedy
This thread is part of an experiment to determine Buffistas' interest in television discussion. It will close on June 1st, 2007, after which there will be a brief skirmish to sort out what we want to do next. This thread is for discussion of all comedy, regardless of airing station. [NAFDA]
Yeah, MNIE was only six minutes long.
The Office was HILARIOUS. A return to form after a couple rocky episodes.
My love for Pam just grows and grows. She's really come into her own this season. And I dug her and Karen facing off a bit over, of all things, Michael and Jan's relationship.
And Michael was so perfectly Michael. He had the right goal and went about accomplishing it in the precise worst possible way.
I didn't expect the flyer to have quite the payoff it ended up with. We couldn't stop laughing for five minutes after the episode ended. (Added points for the line, "Hello, Dunder Mifflin slash Sex Predator Hotline.") (And of course, Dwight's Freudian slip that Pam caught.)
Pam may well be the character closest to real life. In high school, I knew a dozen girls that could have become her.
We couldn't stop laughing for five minutes after the episode ended.
That was absolutely hysterical. I didn't expect that payoff either.
I hope the actress who plays Phyllis has very high self-esteem, because they sure do make a TON of jokes at her expense.
The thing is, the women are all dowdied-down (with the possible exception of Karen) on The Office. I see photos of them at events, and it blows my mind, every single time.
Pam made the perv look like Dwight, didn't she? Loved her face when she changed the tire. Mom and I even said "Go, Pam!" There's a commercial for a credit card that looks like The Office...the hero's scruffy, like Jim.
Yup. Probably because of Dwight's swipe at her drawing ability. Or maybe because he called Phyllis "Phallus."
"I've got penises on the brain." One hand up if, ew.
Pam may also have been motivated by Dwight's sharia law.
