That was my favorite line too.
Experimental TV: Cable Drama
This thread is an experiment to discern the Buffistas' interests in television discussion. It will be closed on June 1st, 2007, after which our community will engage in creative discourse about the future direction of our boards. This is the thread for cable aired drama. All discussion must be in whitefont, with the name of the show upfront, for 24 hours after the show airs, presumably in the US. No future spoilers in thread (take those to the spoiler thread for serious ones or spoilers light for casting type info).
Personally, my favorite was "You're not Shireen...(pause) Shireen's a bitch."
That made me laugh and laugh and laugh too, erika.
Also the occasional, random "I'll have a grande mochachino."
Yeah...gave me a craving, though, damn it.
Which of these stories will you be talking about tomorrow?
I keep hoping that we'll find out more about the real Riches and what they were like. I keep thinking that there is a good reason that they bought a house sight unseen, like maybe they were running from something too.
They certainly seem to have hinted at things along that line more than once.
The situation as it stands now is very tenuous. They keep staying and pretending to be the Riches because there's some decent reasons to do so, but it's still unclear if those outweigh the reasons to just jump in the RV and run. And the family seems pretty evenly spilt on the issue as well -- Wayne and Didi are for staying, Cael and Dahlia would rather go, and Sam is, of course, ambiguous. It's all part of what's So. Damned. Engrossing. about this show.
Now that they have another season, I'd argue that the two most compelling things they could do next season are to 1) do something to make it difficult for them to stop being the Riches, and 2) give them a reason to not want to be the Riches anymore (dirty secrets they were running from, as sj suggests).
How many episodes of The Riches are there going to be this season?
I think it's a thirteen ep run, and there's only a couple left. The one tomorrow night, and two more.
While I was watching "How Not to Decorate" (Must See if you have BBCA) - they ran a promo for their new schedule. It looks really good.
Some sort of police procedural on Mondays, MI-5 on Tuesdays, Footballer's Wives on Wednesday (trashy Wednesdays?), Kitchen Nightmares on Thursdays, Murder Mysteries on Fridays, Hex on Saturday and Robin Hood (season 2? Repeat of season 1?) on Sundays.
The Riches: we must be getting close to the season finale because uh - it looks like the shit is going to hit the fan.
Waking the Dead: Interesting if confusing episode.
