Wow! Well, I missed her playing with her nephew...probably because I thought she had a girl! :-)

There's also a picture of a child on her desk.
do you know if that is the actress' own child?
Adam Beach? I'm almost tempted.
I don't quite understand how I got to a place with this show where I watch it without fail, and love it, but care so little about what happens to so many of the characters.
It's so true. Everyone I know who's still watching House has sort of detached from it, including me. Except I sort of still love the characters, but without any real investment in them.

This! I've been watching the whole time, and all the characters have subtly shifted, and I watched it happen. But somehow, I don't grasp why, or where they're going with it.
I hesitate to say that they've jumped the shark, but....
Jericho is definitely gone, then?
There were some last minute rumblings about the possibility of a reduced season. Ah well.
Those that have Jumped the Shark:
L&O (original series)--when Jerry Orbach left the series, only to die a few months later. RIP, Lenny Briscoe!!
Anyone who watches more network tv than me like to add to this?

I think the big problem is they had that tense arc with House, the cop and rehab that got resolved too early in the season to sustain the emotion. Everything since then has been somewhat of a let down. I wanted to see the consequences of House cheating in rehab play out over the season and there's been nothing. It's become too much just a disease-of-the-week show and let character development just lag. Even Foreman's current arc feels like it was done because they needed to fill it with something, but I want that something to be House, not Foreman.
do you know if that is the actress' own child?
No, I don't. I find it frustrating to like a show that doesn't have the obsessive information network that shows like Buffy and Veronica Mars have. I want spoilers!
I haven't seen last night's House yet, but the House/Wilson stuff the past few weeks has been just marvelous, boring Foreman guilt storyline notwithstanding. There's a lot I'm willing to forgive if I also get to watch House and Wilson secretly drugging each other while they pretend not to be drawing little hearts around each other's names every time they're in the same room.
