Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also TIME PARADOX. If they destroyed the factory where she was made and the materials to make her, how does she exist? Was she made elsewhere?

Well, they didn't destroy the factory. And she kept a bar of coltran. I was wondering the same thing, though.

And I suppose I'm the only one now listening to "The Robot Cat" by Logan Whitehurst.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I would think that she kept a bar of coltran so that she could repair herself if needed. Smart. Plus, it can probably be used as a weapon against the terminators.

Thrive to spite them

Now I want to see a poster with a hairless kitty paw reaching out to the befuddled FBI Guy with the line "come with me if you want to live".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh.

Ok, I'd totally forgotten that SNL already did the Terminator kitty...

November 16, 1991 host: Linda Hamilton — "The Tooncinator." Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son John (Edward Furlong) are trying to escape from the Terminator (Phil Hartman), but the Terminator has come to inform them about the Tooncinator. Sarah is astounded that they would send a robot cat from the future that could drive. ("But not very well," Terminator amends.) The Tooncinator arrives and is impervious to both car crashes and gun fire. Eventually Sarah stops the car, over the terrified Terminator's objections, because she thinks that Tooncinator just wants to be their kitty. They all then go over the cliff.

During the invasion of Iraq, I saw a TV interview with a US Navy fighter pilot... he was all very macho and competent and everything, but on the screen they put his call sign "Toonces" along with his name, so I thought it detracted somewhat from his image.

Yeah, I can just imagine all the ribbing he gets: "He can fly, just not very well."

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, Torchwood 2.1 is up On Demand - they're calling it a "Director's Cut" and although I cannot be sure that I saw anything new - the transitions do seem less abrupt.

And they ran that promo that Jon was talking about earlier. So, if you have On Demand - I recommend it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

So, just saw the Season finale of Doctor Who Season 3.

Huh.

Dobby. Didn't see that coming. And Rusty doesn't seem to know whether to make the Doctor be Jesus or Mary, does he? Although he's mostly going for Jesus. Which seems a trifle excessive, frankly.

However, I heart the Master. And Jack. And Martha. And Martha's mum. Not terribly smitten by the storytelling, though.
