A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
My read was that things had gone to hell in a handbasket while Jack was away and that the old lady and the fugu guy's knowledge was symptomatic of that.
I also wondered if this Grah (I heard it as Graham, cut off) had anything to do with the best friend Jack watched killed when he was little. I mean, we know how little dead counts for.
I assumed that the blowfish was telepathic. Bu I think my mind tends to be forty per cent handwavium when watching tv lately...
ok, What are the Sarah Jane Adventures and who's seen them?
I've seen them, and they're awesome.
Or rather, Elisabeth Sladen is awesome, and she carries the whole show on her back, despite some rather large helpings of silliness.
Sarah Jane was one of the previous Doctor's companions. (See her in season 2 of Doctor Who.) (In case you didn't know who she was.) I got to see the pilot for the series and it was excellent. Sadly, I'm guessing that is all I will be seeing.
Polite Dissent weighs in on Torchwood S02E01.
Sarah Jane Smith was The Companion for me in the old-school DW days, just as Tom Baker was The Doctor. She had such great chemistry with both Pertwee and Baker, and really got what makes a companion great.
I just watched the Children in Need special with Peter Davison and David Tennant--what a brilliant miniep! Did y'all talk about it here?
Sarah Jane Adventures
was a lot of fun. More kid friendly than Dr. Who (her "companions" are all teenagers), and a bit more silly, but not overly so. I enjoyed 'em.
Then again, when you factor in episodes like "The Empty Child" and "Blink," Dexter is more kid friendly than Doctor Who.
