Gwen hasn't shown any inclination to make out with women who aren't putting out hyper-intense Do Me pheromones, so I'd say she's pretty straight. With wildly variant taste in men.
I just watched for first two Torchwood episodes last night. I'm now part of the fandom. Whoohoo. I may not be a cool kid, but at least I now know what the cool kids are talking about.

We watched the first Torchwood ep last night and enjoyed it. Capt. Jack is a hottie. Woman from Rome never lasts long in a show, does she? That one guy is a total rapist.
Are we supposed to infer that Cap'n Jack has real feelings for Gwen...or not.

Are you asking because of the first ep of the new series? My take is that no, he doesn't have any specific feelings for Gwen. Jack wants everyone for himself, is all. He's selfish that way.
