Well, the last time Sarah saw her it was 8 or 10 years after the previous time, so I figure Dyson's wife kinda' mellowed on the "It's Sarah's fault my husband died!" thing.
Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Oh, I love Dyson's wife. I think she's wonderful.
I do too.
Dyson's wife just sort of baffles me with the inconsistent way she's written. I can't get a read on her and how she actually feels about Sarah and the whole Skynet thing.
I love that about her character, because I think that the character doesn't know either.
Vortex, as I wrote that, that's what I thought too.
I think she's definitely conflicted, because she wants to help Sarah but is unhappy that if she does, people may get killed.

plus, I think that she feels that her husband died in vain, because Skynet wasn't stopped.
As much as I hate the dream/voiceovers that seem to be starting each show, they bring up some interesting points. And I can totally identify with the scientists, because their goal is to solve a problem. They not so much concerned with what happens with the results. And frankly, an AI sounds like a good idea.

Yes, and that has to hurt and make all her interactions with Sarah cloudy. Even if it seemed a good idea at the time...well, it wasn't enough. And will anything be?
Regarding my question about whether I'd like Torchwood if I didn't like Dr. Who, my thanks to tiggy, victor and le nubian for your responses. I don't get BBC America through my cable company right now, but I'll put it on the list of things I want to look for as soon as it becomes available.
The first series of Torchwood has literally just been released on DVD.
Torchwood is reportedly one of BBC's most popular exports — the Internet is bursting with fan sites and fan fiction — and its premise is similar to that of Heroes: (mostly) normal people bound together in a mission to rescue humanity from invading ghouls and interstellar nastiness while battling their own neuroses and fears.
Uh...not so much.
Then there's sexually confused valet/administrative assistant Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd), who crushes both on Harkness and robot women.

Wow it's amazing how much they got wrong in that article.
