I thought last night's ep was kinda bad. I thought Dyson's wife and the woman detective were terrible actors, and Sarah herself wasn't too good either. So far, I really liked the pilot, liked the 2nd ep, and didn't really like the 3rd. Here's hoping that trend doesn't continue cause I want to watch it, I really do.
Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I agree that the first two weren't great, but I'm warming up more and more to Sarah after not being very impressed with her in the pilot.
Oh, I love Dyson's wife. I think she's wonderful.
I have no idea WTF was up with the other detective, though.
Dyson's wife just sort of baffles me with the inconsistent way she's written. I can't get a read on her and how she actually feels about Sarah and the whole Skynet thing.
Well, the last time Sarah saw her it was 8 or 10 years after the previous time, so I figure Dyson's wife kinda' mellowed on the "It's Sarah's fault my husband died!" thing.

I do too.

I love that about her character, because I think that the character doesn't know either.
Vortex, as I wrote that, that's what I thought too.
I think she's definitely conflicted, because she wants to help Sarah but is unhappy that if she does, people may get killed.

plus, I think that she feels that her husband died in vain, because Skynet wasn't stopped.
As much as I hate the dream/voiceovers that seem to be starting each show, they bring up some interesting points. And I can totally identify with the scientists, because their goal is to solve a problem. They not so much concerned with what happens with the results. And frankly, an AI sounds like a good idea.

Yes, and that has to hurt and make all her interactions with Sarah cloudy. Even if it seemed a good idea at the time...well, it wasn't enough. And will anything be?
