Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Didn't he effectively do that in the pilot, when he recounted the story of the "teacher" with the robot leg?

you mean with the sarcastic, dismissive tone?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

After FBI guy interviewed the fiance, we saw terminator eyes reflected in a monitor screen. What was up with that?

That wasn't the FBI guy. That was Cromartie finding out about Sarah's alias. That's how he knew to call for John Reese.

you mean with the sarcastic, dismissive tone?

I found it to be a tone of growing belief in the unbelievable.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

you mean with the sarcastic, dismissive tone?

I didn't hear that tone. It struck me as almost ambiguous, bordering on "I can't believe I heard that, am saying this, and am believing it" Like he can't believe it, and yet, there it is in front of his face.

P-C said it more better.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Count me in with Julie and P-C. It struck me as more of a "you've got to be kidding me" and less of a "get the fuck out here with that story".

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That wasn't the FBI guy. That was Cromartie finding out about Sarah's alias. That's how he knew to call for John Reese.

Oh yeah. On my second watch of the pilot, I caught that (as I had been wondering how Cromartie knew where to find John).

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I thought last night's ep was kinda bad. I thought Dyson's wife and the woman detective were terrible actors, and Sarah herself wasn't too good either. So far, I really liked the pilot, liked the 2nd ep, and didn't really like the 3rd. Here's hoping that trend doesn't continue cause I want to watch it, I really do.

I agree that the first two weren't great, but I'm warming up more and more to Sarah after not being very impressed with her in the pilot.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, I love Dyson's wife. I think she's wonderful.

I have no idea WTF was up with the other detective, though.
