It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Scenes from next week look fun.

Now why does that not surprise me?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The 9/11 mention was expected. Ugh.

I was wondering when they'd mention it. I thought it was well done. That said, I'm glad they got it over with early.

Our wings are not tired.

Same here, Jon. I knew it had to happen and am grateful it is done now.

Show rocks. I'm looking forward to more.

I think Summer is amazing in this. The emotionlessness, with the occasional bits of (fake) emotion that are just a little bit off....

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It makes me wonder how she's different from the others, and whether anyone involved in the show knows yet. I find myself very much watching at the meta level at this point.

I wish they'd dump the voiceover.

I'm hating the voiceover, too. I just caught up on both episodes and I'm running around the internets making Paul Gross Arms.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thirding the desire to kill the voiceover.

The whole mimicry scene outside Carlos' house was awesome. But I'm very sad that Tony Amendola was only on one episode. He's so awesome. (I saw him onstage last year: he makes a terrifyingly believable corrupt cop.)

I suspect that Cameron knows adult!John very well indeed; like, maybe they gave her his lover's memories? Or his own? Something like that: she's far too knowing.

Her social skills are a bit too erratic, though: she was awkward but not offputting in the first high-school scenes in the pilot; now all of a sudden she can't communicate with anyone?

I did love "Please remain calm," though. Hee.

Please be awesome please be awesome please be awesome. I'm not ready to have Fox break my heart again.
