Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, I love that Paul Reubens IS Sewer Urchin now, basically.

My thought exactly. Ben Edlund would totally rock a PD script. We need an episode where Emerson has little antennae on his head, and Ned can be Der Fledermaus and Chuck can be American Maid. And, uh, I guess Olive is Arthur.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

...and Olive Snook AS the Civil Minded Four. In Color.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Vonnie,

I laughed for like 2 minutes straight at the rolling pin joke, because apparently I'm twelve.

Oh same here. Beau did NOT think it was funny.

Our wings are not tired.

Rolling pin was funny. The teenage boys I watched with thought so too. It really is a cute show.

Should make cup-pies today!

Compassionately intolerant

I loved everything about this episode but the highest of the lights was Ellen stating, "I think it's BRAVE to try and be happy." That's where my sniffling began.

Not only are those words to live by, but that one sentence sums up the mission of this show. In a sea of cynicism, etc...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yes, bonny, that was the moment that resounded for me!

I need to rewatch a couple dozen times, I think....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it Victor? I need to set it to record...

Ooh, yeah. I like them both, but he's extra special.

I'm making my way through the Highlander IV Special Features disk--Netflix really needs to give a comment field I can make a note of why I rent some of this weird shit.

Everyone talks so sincerely about the movie, but this is a series with the pulled-from-existence #2, and that last one that was pretty worse.

I did get pangs of missing Saturday syndicated action. They don't do that so much anymore. Gave us Hercules, Xena, Andromeda, Final Son, Mutant X...maybe even Birds of Prey. I wonder if the demand and supply shifted, or just evaporated.
