A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Ooh, yeah. I like them both, but he's extra special.
I'm making my way through the
Highlander IV
Special Features disk--Netflix really needs to give a comment field I can make a note of why I rent some of this weird shit.
Everyone talks so sincerely about the movie, but this is a series with the pulled-from-existence #2, and that last one that was pretty worse.
I did get pangs of missing Saturday syndicated action. They don't do that so much anymore. Gave us Hercules, Xena, Andromeda, Final Son, Mutant X...maybe even Birds of Prey. I wonder if the demand and supply shifted, or just evaporated.
There was a time where I could watch SciFi and fantasy all day on Saturday. Some of it was craptastic but it was lovely to me.
I miss that a lot. The one I miss most is Crow: Stairways to Heaven.
I even wrote fanfic. With Mary Sue.
Blood Ties: Interesting serious vs comic aspects. I loved the mummy's indignation when he said " They're called Graphic Novels!"
Oh dog...I loved Vanishing Son. Miss it!
And how weird is it that I had a craving to watch Highlander 1V, with special features on the same evening as ita? What are the odds...
Can't help loving the bits of it that I love. Minus points for the stupid accents and sad comic relief...and vast under-using of Jim Byrnes. Still, can't help myself.
And speaking of Jim Byrnes...I miss Wiseguy too. Shame about Ken Wahl and his crackedhattery.
I'm a-walking in the rain . . .
Wait, did I confuse Crime Story and Wiseguy?
eta: Yes.
They DO share Anthony Denison...Ray Luca and John Henry Raglin, respectively.
That scene in Wiseguy with him, Joan Chen and the razor? Rwwrrr.
