Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Hasn't he been off filming someplace like Puerto Rico? I certainly wouldn't have made a connection between people grousing about the writer's approach to Jo and [douche-y new character whose name I never bothered to learn] and Colin feeling unwelcome here. He certainly doesn't strike me as the sort to prefer unanimous gushing praise to honest discussion from numerous points of view.
I'd say you are a braver man that I am for watching BW, but then again I'll be watching Moonlight, and maybe not hating it.
I was watching SGA. The only way I'd watch Bionic Woman is if I heard Isaiah Washington's character were going to be written off the show in the fashion of South Park's Chef.
Also, wasn't Colin involved in competitive ad lib theatre activities? That will give you ego-calluses from getting your work criticized pretty harshly.
Actually, with SGA I thought there was some major J Flanigan chemistry going on, plus it gave the rest of the actors much of the week off.
Loved
the moving the ship without engaging the inertial dampeners! Every once in a while somebody remembers this is a SF show.
Maybe it's because I knew of and liked Jill Wagner before her guest shot, but I thought she was like Jana Mitsoula (Allina) from that first season episode "The Brotherhood": charismatic and possessing sufficient gravitas to be believable in her role even as she fulfills the producers' hot space babe fantasy quotient.
The Noreena and Nola actresses: not so much with the gravitas and charisma, so they substituted more cleavage.

Yeah, she didn't quite work for me. It was close, though. If it had been Claudia Black...
I saw someone suggest that this was SGA's equivalent of "Prometheus Unbound," the SG-1 episode where Vala gives Daniel hell. I never have seen that episode, but I need to.
Dana, you haven't? If you can get past several instances of Plot Stupidity (like when an Air Force Colonel hesitates to give the General CPR because he's homophobic), it's quite funny. Goofy, but funny, and Vala's introduction is a massive Farscape shout-out.
I've seen through the end of season 5, and then I picked it up again full-time when Browder joined the cast. So I haven't seen any of season 6 (except for Abyss and the "Teal'c is a fireman" episode), and I haven't seen most of, um, 7 and 8?
See, I read it as SGA's take on Galactica.
Hasn't he been off filming someplace like Puerto Rico?
I think now he's in Canada. It's hard to keep track.
And he was a TheatreSports performer in university, as well as a member of a professional improv troupe. Which meant I got to give him notes twice a week. Y'all are nothing on me, let me be clear.
I was saddened by Jill Wagner. She was so much hotter in Blade. In SGA she looked like some random chick dressed in hastily sewn clothes. I know I shouldn't be watching TV and thinking about the budget, but I sure was. And how boring a time the regular cast except for Flanigan was happening.
Hated Prometheus Unbound. They made Daniel act like Jack and it was silly in the wrong way.

I had been thinking that perhaps it was more that he agreed with a lot of what was being said and was perhaps feeling it was out of place for him to really get into it on the board.

I can't see how that show isn't going to be freakin' massive.
