Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Art Crawl!!!

And that was a very interesting thing for him to do - - it's about time that they broke their formula.

Fun to see Aaron Douglas and Jill Teed in this.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I like Reaper, but I'm getting seriously annoyed at the whole "yeah, let's keep the GIRL in the dark (nevermind Sam's two doofus friends have been in on it from the start)" shtick.

Vonnie is me on this. I stopped watching* about halfway through, when Sam promised he'd pick up Andi at seven. I had a very strong suspicion that something would happen to prevent the meeting and Sam would once again be forced to lie. It seems my suspicions were confirmed.

I don't buy that as a form of narrative tension or humor. I'm just not feeling any attachment to the characters at this point. I adore watching Ray Wise, but that may not be enough to keep me watching the show unless things change.

* I have it on tape. I may go back and watch later, depending.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am not too worried about Sam's friends: Ben & Sock because they willingly put themselves in harm's way every day. So it is probably appropriate they are in danger (from Satan) because they directly are in danger anyway.

Sam's brother doesn't know shit - but I wonder when that is going to change.

Finally, I am with sumi, Sam's situation suddenly became very interesting to me now knowing that the father has a whole lot to hide.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I don't like the keeping Andi in the dark, not on any philosophical level, but because I'm annoyed by the stupid situations. Why doesn't he come up with someting like "I got a part time job working for this rich guy, and sometimes he calls me on short notice, so I have to bail on plans or whatever" or does that make too much sense?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

seriously. or...maybe he should just flat out realize that maybe since he is a henchman for the devil that a relationship might not be the greatest idea.

I think that he realizes that, but he can't quite let it go.

Whoa! From from the Trib:

If you're on pins and needles waiting for the Nov. 24 debut of the Sci Fi Channel movie "Battlestar Galactica: Razor," help is at hand. You may only have to wait until Nov. 12.

There will be free screenings of the film in movie theaters in eight cities on Nov. 12: Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and, yes, Chicago. The screenings will take place at multiple locations in each city, but all of the screenings will be on the evening of Nov. 12.

The Chicago-area screenings are at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago, the Century 16 Deer Park in Deer Park and the Century Evanston 18 in Evanston.

Damn. Want to see. Have no transport.

ETA: Spoilery stuff in the article.
