I really like the voice over. It's like another flavor of the Dukes of Hazzard voice over.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Maybe I'm not getting what the show is going for. I'm finding it very distracting. Of course I've only seen the one epsiode. Perhaps it'll grow on me.
I didn't even know Dukes of Hazzard had voiceover.
But I do, for the most part, quite enjoy the PD voiceover because, like everything else about this show, it's just so...different from everything else on television. None of the characters are narrating. We just get an omniscient storyteller, and I love a good yarn. Little bits like "The way it happened was this" just amuse me.
It doesn't look like they're losing the years-months-weeks-hours business, so I'm trying to live with it. There are a couple times this week where I thought it was nice and appropriate (like, for instance, right before the grave robber died, it's a nice touch to sum up his entire life so far in those terms).

Voiced by Waylon Jennings, even.
It reminds me a bit of Desperate Housewives. Although that narrator wasn't divorced from the action, she was now omniscient.

Who also sang the theme.
But yeah, it's very much in the "Once upon a time in Hazzard County there was a family of bootleggers..." vein.
Looks like them Duke boys got themselves a mess of trouble.
Just got to see last night's PD.
Did anyone else find the sword fight delightfully Princess Bride-ish?
Did you notice the Star Warish music during the sequence?
Aside from needing an on-set fight choreographer (they had one for Malcolm in the Middle! ), it was quite nice.
