But yeah, it's very much in the "Once upon a time in Hazzard County there was a family of bootleggers..." vein.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

Looks like them Duke boys got themselves a mess of trouble.
Just got to see last night's PD.
Did anyone else find the sword fight delightfully Princess Bride-ish?
Did you notice the Star Warish music during the sequence?
Aside from needing an on-set fight choreographer (they had one for Malcolm in the Middle! ), it was quite nice.

One of the krav guys did that for the Scrubs swordfight. I'm kinda assuming there was just the one. [eta: Scrubs swordfight, I mean]
Aside from needing an on-set fight choreographer
seriously - any show with a good fight could use one, especially after certain scenes from certain movies (Serenity) & shows have shown again and again that this approach just kicks ass. makes it more watchable - and, Kat - TPB had one too. dance and fight. not to mention, an albino, under a wheelbarrow
... and well-choreographed post slays thread.

The PB one was also rather delightfully competent. And knowingly so, with delightful fencing-nerd shoutouts not to be equaled until the first PoTC movie. This one was... remember how completely painfully horrendously did I mention painfully FUCKING awful the spaghetti-wristed bag work they had Buffy do in closeups was when they couldn't shoot with the double? And then FUCKING SHOWED IT IN SLOW-MO TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE OBVIOUS? It was that kind of painfully awfully horrible. PB and Empire references notwithstanding.
I mean, all that aside from the bad fight choreography. I'm just talking about the technical skill, the likes of which makes me disarm small children and tell their parents that they should try a different sport before they harm themselves, because they sure as hell aren't going to hit anyone else.
The "Southern" accent is a whole separate rant, unless I've stopped watching the show before I get to it.
I know not everyone's not cut out for everything, but it amazes me why they never made SMG throw a decent punch. Forget the claims of her having a brown belt in anything other than leather (which was what pulled me to the show in the first place)--a convincing punch under choreographed conditions at a standing target with the ability to repeat takes?
I shudder to think what hit the cutting room floor.
