I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Fuller has a knack for mixing the cutesy with just enough snark or morbidity that I love it instead of having the opposite reaction.

Well, and I generally agree with you and take your point, but in the Torchwood universe, isn't everyone bi??

Alas, Rhys seems to be the one major exception among the regular cast.

And in the second episode, Owen voluntarily goes into the jail cell holding a woman who can kill people with sexin', hoping for some jollies. And the show treats this stupidity as A JOKE.

To be fair, those plastic cells have pretty big vent holes. If she was giving him a whiff of his own pheromonal medicine, he might have intended a more securely distant examination and then been compromised.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sex can make you do the wacky, to quote somebody or other.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

(side note: why did they beep Sharon Osborne saying "tick my box", but yet Owen got to say "when's the last time you came so hard you didn't know where you were" Maybe a timing issue with 8PM versus 10PM?)

I yelped when I heard that on the TV. No he didn't!!!!!!

JEBUS!

Also, because it can't be said enough, Owen= NASTY. Seriously, every time I watch an episode I can't stop screaming, "shut UP, Owen!"

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Owen had a "fuck" in that speech too, as I recall. Are they bleeping for language?

I don't think I heard "fuck" but I heard all about screwing and coming. So NASTY out of Owen's NASTY little weasle mouth and troll brain.

Punishingly Intricate

I don't know how I'd react to being shot, but I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't try to stop someone from helping me.

huh? when did that happen?

Of course, I watched the whole ep last night with my finger on the pause button thinking "I REALLY shouldn't be watching this right before bed" so I may have missed something.

Even if that someone was Owen? C'mon now... you're in pain and Captain Logic has abandoned you and Owen's trying to touch you?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I thought she was just in pain.

Also, I don't remember if it was clear before this episode that Owen was (or used to be) a full-fledged doctor.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So Nora, what do you really think of Owen?

I gotta say, I do find it interesting (if not necessarily fun) that such a vile little toad is one of the "good" guys. The actor's doing a phenomenal job of projecting both slimey and oddly charismatic. The only other actors I can think of offhand who can do that are Steve Buscemi and Willem Dafoe. Oh, and Walken.
