A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

We only saw a feminine hand pick up a ring and heard and echo of maniacal laughter, as I recall.

why do they repeat Flash and Stargate but not Dr Who? So unfair!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

On one hand, they could be setting up for the master to return somewhere down the line, but the character as he's been portrayed... I don't see anything but a wish to die (and bring down the entire universe with him), I can't see him scheming some backup plan to anticipate being murdered, not regenerating, imbuing his soul or whatnot into the ring, and... oh... okay, I can: Having Mrs. Saxon shoot him could have been part of the plan once he was caught. Hmmm...

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

Having an backup plan is definitely Master-like, but RTD said he put that in mainly for future production teams, so they'd have an pre-setup out for bringing back the Master.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Face of Bo thing is AWESOME!

I take back anything bad I ever said about Martha.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I do think they missed a great opportunity in "The Sound of Drums" to have the Master make that threat about aging the Doctor 100 years, zap him, and then when Tennant got very slightly gray and developed a crow's foot or two, yell about getting too used to killing humans with their short lifespans. Also, stopping short of that extreme would have spared us the extreme fakeness of the aging prosthetics and, perhaps, Tinkerbell!Doctor as well.

I did love the Flash Gordon coda for the Master. It's almost as if RTD knew it would be airing after SciFi's pathetic retread and was saying "THIS is what a merciless villain is like!"

I'm also very sorry that Suzi Costello got killed off, though - I thought she was very good.

Indira Varma had a part in Rome and is now starring in The Whistleblowers, which is getting quite good reviews.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, I'm sad that they cut the part where Martha looks up that nice and pretty doctor who helped her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Holy carp, that Pushing Daisies comic is both hilarious and really seriously gross. I hope they go there a little with the show - that was awsome!

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

Minor tangent...anyone know why CFerg's other podcasts for S2 have not been posted on either iTunes of SF? I'm feeling the need for a Eureka S2 marathon and would love to have more insight into some of the choices made.
