"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It would have been different if she were completely metal.

You haven't seen what she looked like when she started acting evil.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Man, where the hell is Vonnie when I need her? She totally had the same reaction I did.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

But, they're experience was that Cybermen were pretty darn near invincible - would you really second guess that?

You shoot cybermen a lot. It's the only way to be sure.

My chatty!co-worker's band is called The Cybermen, so these comments threw me for just a moment.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Does anyone else start figuring out how to make a Dalek everytime one is on screen? Or is it just me? I'm thinking of a Dalek lawn ornament with lights and a chip that says "Exterminate."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Man, where the hell is Vonnie when I need her? She totally had the same reaction I did.

I understand what you're saying. There's definitely an element of the show that revels in "We're so cool, we're so edgy, we're practically American sci-fi."

Something I love about this episode -- Ianto is *so* upset. Sobbing, cursing, completely off-his-rocker upset. That's not a place most American shows go.

Hell, they practically had Daleks on the front stairs of the hotel in Atlanta - shouldn't be that hard to come up with something for the lawn.

Yeah, it was (almost) terminally stupid of him to hide Lisa, but I really felt for him all the same.

Those may have started off this train of thought, Frank.

eta: I have an idea of how I'd do the armature. I need a life.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Does anyone else start figuring out how to make a Dalek everytime one is on screen?

When I was in London a couple of months ago, there was an exhibit of art made by prisoners. One group effort was a life-size Dalek version of the Madonna and Child (complete with conical bra).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Motion detectors! So much better than the stupid fish.
