Loved it!!! The aunts got short shrift in the beginning, but they soon got their screentime and I loved them! I had just assumed that they were going to be the evil oppressive aunts that Chuck escapes from happily and we'd never see them again.
Lee Pace is
adorable!
(as to be expected) and so was Chuck. Love the whole Amelie-esque vibe.
more importantly, it has me grinning and genuinely happy.
So much this.
more importantly, it has me grinning and genuinely happy.
Yeah, that's about it. I just enjoyed the heck out if it.
Yeah, I really enjoyed it too! The hand-holding bit and the kissing monkeys were ridiculously adorable. I love both Lee Pace and Anna Friel. So far it's got just the right combination of cute and funny and morbid.
I didn't recognize either of the aunts until they opened the door to their house, but at that moment my housemate and I simultaneously exclaimed "Swoosie Kurtz!" / "Ellen Greene!"
I fell asleep during The New Hour and missed the first half hour of PD. The second half was nice.
i'm watching PD with my parents. i love this show. loved it when i first saw it and love it even more on my tv screen. Lee Pace is all kinds of adorable and i want to take him home with me.
Bionic woman:
The creepy boyfriend is dead! Wheee! I spent most of the (not-so-great) pilot wishing he'd drop dead already. By the time we got to the bit where he was talking about naming a son Coltrane and a daughter Billie when Jamie wasn't even sure if she wanted to keep the baby (man, what a pretentious douche, on top of being a creepy, controlling freak), I was thinking that a simple gunshot wound would have been too good for him. He should be eaten by a mountain bear! I was gonna skip the ep. 2, but I might keep watching since they had the good sense to kill him off.
On a more pleasant note, Pushing Daisies was just as lovely as the time I watched the leaked pilot for the first time. I'd like to declare, in case there might be any confusion down the road, that Lee Pace is MINE. We're all clear on that, right? Right.
I missed PD, so I'll have to go find it. Am now watching Bionic Woman. I've seen the pilot, and I thought this was the second show, but now I'm confused about an apparent character death that I'm pretty sure didn't happen in the pilot. Hmmm.
ETA: Ha! Ex-post with Vonnie. So, then, he's dead. Do we know how? I mean, I'm glad he's gone, too, but I just want to know how. ETAA: Oops. I didn't read carefully enough. I did miss ep2.
I hope Swoozie and Helen aren't just in the pilot.
They aren't. I hear they figure prominently in a future episode.
There are so many great lines in the PD pilot. I love "Bitch,
I
was in proximity!"
OMG, I fucking love PD!! Love, love, love! I wasn't nuts about Chuck, at first, but she grew on me quickly. I hope they can sustain the combo of cute, funny and morbid. And that all those folks with Nielson boxes like CFM.
So, then, he's dead. Do we know how?
Starbot (tm TWOP) shot him in the pilot through the window and he was being rushed into an ambulance. I guess this was a way of showing us that he didn't make it. (Hurrahhh! /bloodthirsty)
Will ANTHROS. So that's why they are called Anthrocytes! Great. I hate him even more now. (Well, OK, that was probably named after Badger, I mean, his father.)
