Is Wise better as the Devil than John Glover was in Brimstone?

Unpossible.

What Hologram are you talking about?

Err, I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was really happening (that Allison had been convinced of what Henry was saying) when Stark and Jack were looking at them as the emergency doors shut. I don't think there REALLY was a hologram, but the scene looked like it wasn't real either. I should have rewatched it before I dumped it from my DVR, I guess. Sorry for the confusion (and I'm not explaining very well either).

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, it turns out that the virus had moved from metal to people and Henry had called Carter to show him a corpse at the morgue that had the virus and disintigrated. (I think.) There was some non-communication. Carter thinks that Stark is aware but he is not -- because Henry didn't tell him or because Henry didn't tell Allison who was supposed to tell Stark. That I'm not sure about. Anyway, Henry and Beverly confront Allison as Stark and Carter walk in and the emergency doors go down.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

But Henry told Carter that he (Henry) had already informed Stark and Allison of the mutated virus (correct me if I'm wrong). Which, it turns out, Henry lied about, since neither Allison nor Stark knew until the very end.

Jon, I jumped on the hologram idea (something/someone in the final confrontation being a trickeration) because I just don't want to believe that Henry is actually in cahoots with Beverly now, and was trying to speculate how that would work.

Then I went all conspiracy theory in thinking that perhaps the mutation is just a big fakeout on Henry's part.

Now, that’s an interesting question. Let’s give Wise a few eps. My gut reaction is that I liked John Glover more, but that was because of the random evil. Like when they’d be in a bookstore, and he would be ripping out the last page of every book, or moving a mousetrap behind someone so they’d step on it.

"Eat it, Heatmiser!!!" cracked my shit up totally.

It STILL makes me laugh

See, and I always saw that as taken straight from Peter Cook in BEDAZZLED. Granted, I think I didn't even see all the BRIMSTONE that aired, so I may have missed some good Glover bits. He was my favorite thing about the episodes I did see.

I totally love Ray Wise's avuncular quality. And I KNOW he can turn the scary on at the drop of a dime.

The first time I saw that scene I was with a group of friends watching it on a movie night and we could NOT stop laughing.
